Amongst the activities we include in our other adventures are; Winter Activity holidays through out Europe, which includes; Snowshoe holidays in the Alps, Bulgaria and Slovenia; Ski touring adventures in Scandanavia; Polar exploration with dog sledges in the Arctic and multi activity holidays that include snowmobiles and ice fishing in Finland. In warmer climates we offer Safari holidays in Africa; get close to mountain gorilla in Uganda; Touring vacations across Tibet, Multi-Activity adventures in Peru and Photo Special holidays with Colin Prior in Bhutan. Finally a new special this year is running the Everest marathon, the holiday choice is yours!
Over the course of the last 10 years, KE Adventure Travel has developed a programme of winter activities that are all about having fun in the mountains during the winter months. These are not trips based in busy ski resorts. Instead, we seek out the quiet snowshoe trails of Finland or the Pyrenees, take a ski tour hut-to-hut through Norway's Jotunheimen Mountains or explore the frozen world of Lake Baikal in Russian Siberia.
These holidays set out to show off the highlights of the regions they visit, whilst also including a mix of activities. We have multi-activity trips both in the summer and in the winter, with a range of exciting and sometimes adrenalin-fuelled sports and other elements. If you are looking for a holiday with a difference and want a new challenge each day, these multi-activity holidays might just be for you.
Our Safari holidays are those that focus on wildlife spotting as the principal objective of the trip. Uganda's Lakes, Game and Gorillas and Botswana's Okavango and Victoria Falls are two examples of this type of trip. The Tanzania Wildlife Spectacular family holiday also comes within this category. On these trips you will mostly travel in vehicles specially adapted for game viewing and wherever there is a wildlife viewing opportunity you will be able to benefit from the knowledge and experience of an expert guide.
Whereas most of our holidays include strenuous or relatively strenuous activities, such as trekking, climbing or biking, we also recognise that a more relaxed approach to the world's wild places can pay dividends. Touring trips include only a minimum of walking, whilst exploring and sightseeing in towns and at monuments, temples etc.. There is no sustained trekking or other taxing activities and the trips can be undertaken by anyone in good health.
KE has long experience of running Photo Special trips, hosted by well-known photographers, such as Colin Prior. These trips are set up to include the best photo opportunities in the areas they visit, with the group benefitting from the expertise of the accompanying photographer. Past KE Photo Special holidays have included visits to Everest Basecamp and to Bhutan, to witness one or more of that country's colourful Buddhist festivals.
