Mallorca is the largest of the Ballearic Islands and is located in the Mediterranean Sea off the Costa Brava coast of Spain. The capital of the island is Palma and it is here that the island's international airport is located. Like the other Balearic Islands of Minorca, Ibiza, and Formentera, the island is an extremely popular holiday destination. Increasingly, as well as the sun-seeking holiday-makers, Mallorca is gaining a reputation as a destination for adventure travel. Hikers concentrate on the peaks of the Tramuntana range that lines Mallorca's northern coastline, while road cyclists will find dozens of excellent and challenging circuits. The island is well geared up to look after adventurers on foot and on two wheels.
