A four day package with two full days for exploring the vast and magnificent ancient Khmer city of Angkor. Highlights include sunset from Phnom Bakheng, Angkor Thom, Ta Phrom of "Tombraider" fame, the faces of the Bayon Temple, Banteay Srei and Banteay Kdei and a visit to Tonle Sap, Asia's largest inland lake. A 2-hour boat trip on the lake allows us to visit a floating school and a colourful local market. Overnight accommodation is in a comfortable hotel with pool centrally located in Siem Reap

Itinerary
Day: 1
Arrive in Siem Reap - your guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. Later in the afternoon we will begin our exploration of the Angkor site with a trip to Phnom Bakheng to watch the sunset. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day: 2
After breakfast, we will visit Angkor Thom, designed by Jayavarman VII, the last king of Angkor. There are many temples within the central Angkor Thom citadel, including the famous Bayon and Elephant Terrace. Next we visit Preah Khan, Takeo, Banteay Kdei and Ta Phrom, the jungle temple built in the 12th Century. In the afternoon we'll visit the iconic Angkor Wat. (B)
Day: 3
Today we will drive to the outer-lying temples starting with Banteay Srei, a Hindu temple built in the 10th Century and renowned for it's intricate carvings and bas-relief. On the way back, we'll stop to visit the Cambodian landmine museum to learn about the civil war. In the afternoon we enjoy a boat trip on Lake Tonle Sap - a chance to see modern Khmer life. Overnight in Siem Reap. (B)

A free day to explore the fascinating street life in downtown Siem Reap before transferring to the airport. (B)
