K2 from the Vigne Glacier, Karakoram Mountains, Pakistan
Having set out from Ali Camp on the Upper Vigne Glacier in spectacular conditions, I stopped at this point to photograph the pyramidal mass of K2. Making use of the brown and beige strata in the foreground, the elevation shows the three glaciers; Vigne, Baltoro and Godwin-Austen. |
