Beyond Kulu Trek

The best leader I ever had anywhere!
Most enjoyed - The support crew and, the hiking part and the homestay at the end of the trip.
The Markha Valley Trek
By: Ann Shawley, Sheffield, UK
I most enjoyed the trekking in a remote area. We did not see other trekking groups. The group itself was unusual for me as I was the only Brit, we hit it off right from the beginning. We laughed from the minute we got up to the moment we went to bed. Tashi was the best local leader I have ever had on trek. He looked after us and his crew, going beyond what I would expect from a leader. I was very impressed by the way the ponies were looked after by their handlers. It's always a pleasure to visit your office for a chat and to discuss different trips with your knowledgeable staff.
Iceland Three Peaks Challenge
By: Margaret Young, West Lothian, Scotland
Loved every minute - truly unique landscape - truly unique weather! glaciers awe-inspiring. Volcanos magnificent - realised there is still so much to do and see- think we will be going back soon - so easy to get to as well from Scotland.
Used KE many times - very happy with all our trips and your assistance so will continue to be loyal customers.
Jordan Trekking Holiday - Wadi Rum and Petra
By: Sidney & Philippa Horn, Hope Valley, Derbyshire
Our trip leaders were excellent in every way. Both Yousef and Saleem had a good sense of humour. Most enjoyed the companionship of all the group: Being in the company of the Bedouins and sharing their food, and experiencing their diet; and being 'blown away' by Petra. Fantastic scenery in Wadi Rum.
In the Avenue of the Volcanoes
By: Ann Fenn, USA
I had a wonderful trip, and was very happy overall with KE's services. I enjoyed the people in my group, and was able to see so much of Ecuador in a short time. I would highly recommend KE and look forward to another trip in the future.
Walk to Freedom across the Pyrenees
By: Debbie Wagner, Surrey
The trip leader made the experience most entertaining. His knowledge of the terrain and weather conditions was impeccable and his larger than life personality was incomparable. His great leadership skills were supported very professionally by Matt Arnold his assistant. Their enthusiasm and local knowledge made the trip unforgettable.
An experience of a life-time with much laughter, challenging exercise with outstanding natural beauty. The group dynamic was perfect as we all seemed to be of similar mind set and sense of humour. A great time was had by all.
Stok Kangri and the Markha Valley Trek
By: Gill Potter, Liverpool, Merseyside
Great crew. The cook was outstanding! Great variety and wonderful cakes. Our leader, Jose was great. Nothing was too much trouble. He took a genuine interest in everyone's health and wellbeing throughout the trek.
I suffered a bout of altitude sickness and a loss of appetite a couple of days into the trek but that didn't stop me from moving on with the rest of the group.
I really enjoyed the stay in Leh before the trek began which coincided with the Ladakh festival. Also the trek through the Marka Valley and a great group of people and excellent leader.
Unfortunately we didn't summit Stok Kangri due to adverse weather conditions. It must have been very difficult for Jose to make the final decision not to attempt the summit and I am sure many in the group were disappointed but I would fully support his decision and in any case it meant that we had an extra day in wonderful Leh before leaving for Delhi!
I have been on several treks/climbs with KE and have always had a great time. Very well organised with good itineraries and excellent leaders and support crews. Excellent trip, thanks.
Alpine Trails and Summits of the Queyras
By: Sara Hornibrook, Edinburgh, UK
Antoine really made the trip for me. It was great he was a French leader and we did not come across any other British tourists the whole week! Stunning views and wonderful scenery.
Trekking across the High Atlas
By: Sharon Jackson, London, UK
Around every corner there was a completely different view... gorgeous scenery. And I loved getting to learn more about the Berber people. Hamid was an excellent guide. He is able to offer great practical support and is very diligent in ensuring everyone's needs are met. What a star!
Southern Zanskar and Phuktal Monastery
By: Morag Sutton, Northwich, UK
Super food, well balanced diet was provided, much thought had obviously been put into the preparation of the meals.
Support crew were absolutely excellent & provided the best service we've ever received.
Amazing scenery for miles. Clear, clear night skies. Not being surrounded by dozens of other trekkers. Wonderful support team. Very welcoming cup of hot lemon/orange brought to us every day by Darwan, even in the pouring rain at 11pm!
