Heart of the Tien Shan Trek

The trip info really could major more on the flowers - they were absolutely astonishing, and I know people who should go on it just as flower-enthus iasts. Also, could be worth mentioning that a European pocket field guide would probably cover most of the flora as an optional extra. Fabulous time - the flowers were beyond belief, the trekking offered something different every day, and there was both challenge and time to enjoy the views. I have never been in a landscape so remote and empty. Logistics-wise, everything was looked after, the support crew were delightful, especially our local guide, Irkin, and Ingrid, the leader was charming. I would go back to Kazakhstan/Kirghistan, and I would definitely do another trip with KE.
Transylvania Traverse - Trekking in Romania

A good mixture of walking and cultural activities (visiting a couple of castles, monasteries and a museum. A local tour leader provided a great insight into Romanian history and culture which was much appreciated by the group. In addition to the mountain walks, we did a walk around the villages on the final day which was enjoyable too

Everest Base Camp Trek

Never having camped previously I thought NEVER to do it again. However, I feel I could do better now I know how to do it!! I will try again. I felt incredibly healthy the whole time; I ate & enjoyed everything. I was the 'reluctant' trekker and I know now I've had an amazing experience; certainly not just a holiday.
Went with my friend's husband. She didn't want to go. If I could have arranged for someone to break my ankles before I left I would have paid them. Just think what I would have missed - the most amazing trip I've ever experienced!!!

The holiday was extremely well-organised and ran very smoothly. The trekking was a big challenge for me but I felt very proud of having made it to the end! It was a real adventure.
The local agent was very professional and reliable. Everything went like clockwork. The food was amazing nearly everywhere we stayed! Pisco sours with nibbles at the end of the day - what a great incentive to make me walk faster and not feel like giving up during the long treks! I also really enjoyed staying at the eco-camp.
Our guide, Roberto, turned a 'great' holiday into an 'amazing' holiday! He was the perfect team leader - knowledgeable, entertaining, inclusive and patient. A real star.

Annapurna Panorama Lodge Trek

I cannot fault the KE staff for their help when booking this trip as I had LOTS of questions that I wanted to talk through, especially Dan and Caroline. Thank you for your patience. Our trip leader and the crew were exceptional. Pemba the leader couldn't do enough for us and the porters were fantastic as well. They were all so cheerful and really helped to make the holiday such a success.
This holiday was one of the best we have had and we have had some great holidays with you. The views of the Himalayas were outstanding and we felt so lucky to be there at the time of the rhododendrons, which simply tumbled down the mountainside. I really liked the variety of activities and situations. From the hustle and bustle and fascinating history of Kathmandu to the wonderful trekking in what must be one of the most beautiful parts of the world. The extension to Chitwan was a perfect end. What a fantastic place and what a privilege to be there. Watching birds and wildlife from the back of an elephant is truly special and we had a good sighting of a tiger. What a huge amount there is to see there. The tented accommodation was fantastic.
I have no suggestions for improvement as it was a great itinerary. Our guide said that it was one of the best and I can believe him. The trip surpassed all expectations. The cities were busier, the mountains were bigger, and the rhododendrons were frothier. The trekking was very challenging but we took it steadily and were never made to go faster than we wanted to. It was worth every effort to reach that view at Chomrong.
This was our 7th trip with you. We don't bother to look at any other travel firms now as we have never been disappointed and we think that you pick great agents in the countries that we visit. We have had great adventures but we always feel safe. Thank you to all the staff at KE for always being so helpful.
