Toubkal Weekend - The Ultimate Morocco Short Break
By: Jamie Jeffery, London, UK
Thank you, I loved this break, it was SO well organised. I will strongly recommend KE to friends. I most enjoyed the hotel Islane - Rustic but charming. Omar's reliability and punctuality. KE being so easy to do business with, and very communicative. The trip surpassed every expectation. Our guide Omar was superb. Accommodation was waaaaay better than expectations!
Red Hot Chile - Trek the Atacama Desert
By: Trevor Kott, Texas, USA
Yasu was one of the most patient and caring trip leaders I've ever had. You could tell he truly loved his job and had excellent knowledge of the area.
I thought the 8 rating was too high when I read the trip description but it lived up to the rating.
The trek leaders did an excellent job of acclimating us. Most of us were from sea level and to have 8 of 11 summit Licancabur on a less than stellar day was a testament to that fact. The easier days and multi-day hike built up our stamina at altitude for the summit push.
One Week Haute Route - Mont Blanc to Matterhorn
By: Hamish Parkinson, Powys, Wales
The trek was challenging, but it was a fantastic experience to be amongst the high alpine peaks. Our guide, Richard, was extremely helpful and professional in his approach. Other than the weather it is difficult for me to suggest any improvements!
Trekking in Cappadocia and the High Taurus
By: Joanna Graham, Surrey
All great. The beers at the end of each day were greatly appreciated !! Turan was a great leader with a real dedication to his job and a great sense of humour. Our co-leader Elif was great too. KE was recommended by a fellow traveller on a previous holiday. We love walking holidays and I've wanted to visit Capppadocia for ages so this was the perfect trip.
Jebel Sahro Walking Week
By: Stephania Scerri, Luxembourg
Hamid (our guide) was a great guide! He took good care of us throughout the holiday. He not only answered our questions about Moroccan traditions and culture but he also entertained us with jokes, songs and games throughout the camping evenings. Could not have wished for a better guide!
What I enjoyed most was dancing and singing berber songs with the locals on a particular night, having a picnic near Bab n'Ali while chatting between us and Hamid, meeting the locals and trekking through the beautiful scenary. Well, I enjoyed pretty much the whole trip from beginning till the very end. It was indeed a great holiday and I fully enjoyed myself. Jebel Sahro offers not only beautiful landscape but also a warm welcome by its people.
Gran Paradiso Summits - Trek the Alps of Italy
By: Marcus Crompton, Cheshire, UK
in all, I would say that this is the most enjoyable holidays I have had with KE
or any other operator. A large part of my total satisfaction with the holiday is
down to Kathy Murphy's skills and abilities as a leader for which I am more than
Most enjoyable aspects - The variety of terrain and scenery, the wildlife, the ongoing instruction in skills on different kinds of terrain, the company, fun and friendship. The wine was pretty good too!
I can't suggest anything to improve this one, it is a superb trip.
Shey Gompa and Inner Dolpo
By: Andy & Carole Phinn, N. Yorkshire, UK
The meals on trek where excellent with a good variety, well prepared and good portions. The cook team excelled being up early and all meals where on time. Many thanks. The cook even deputised as guide when one of the clients had to be airlifted out and Rob stayed behind to organise this.
Having been delayed in Delhi on The Way out the group waited for us in Kathmandu and we made the internal flights, losing a day to bad weather. Rob took all these changes in his stride and kept us informed of all the itinerary changes on a daily basis, leading to a smooth holiday With no real hiccups.
Four 4000 metre Peaks of Toubkal
By: Iris Dandoo, Canada
Everything was very good, reaching the peak of Toubkal was great, but so were many other things along the way that made the trip very enjoyable. I also liked learning about a different culture, traditions and their way of life. Mixing within their culture and understanding their views on religion etc helps me become a better, understanding and well rounded person. KE was the only company that I found that offered something different and away from regular tourist traps and was reasonably price. Price is important too.
High Tatras Trekking - The Carpathian Mountains
By: Helen Lapping, Lancaster, UK
Hubert, our guide, had a passionate and encyclopedic knowledge of all manner of aspects of the Tatras which was an enjoyable and extremely interesting accompaniment to the trek!
Had a great time as always - thanks, KE. I am most refreshed!
Trekking Mount Toubkal in Winter
By: Steven Mark Vickerage, Ratby, Leicestershire
The pace on Toukbal was in-line with our slowest member - a lesson that could and should have been learned by other teams that sprinted past near the summit but all with ash-grey faces. A fantastic trip with the summit of Ouanoukrim the highlight.
