Viva Gran Canaria
By: Gail Des Moulins, Calgary, Canada
Most enjoyed - Warm weather in November. Better trails than I was expecting. Nice scenery. Excellent food. The pace of the walking was nice. There was time to take pictures and look at plants along the trail.
Madeira Walking Week
By: Judith Thorp, Derbyshire, UK
Victor made this experience very easy and comfortable for me. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about his island and answered innumerable questions on a daily basis. Nothing was left to chance. As a trip leader he is superb.
I enjoyed being part of the group and the villages and small towns we stayed in were interesting. The Atlantic swell and rock pools in Paul do Mar were exhilirating.I particularly enjoyed the walks following the lavadas (without the steep descents!!!)
Iceland - Trek the Land of Extremes
By: Jon Lieb, California
Excellent price for Iceland which is usually expensive. Most enjoyed: Variety of scenery and hiking terrain. Not a single piece of trash anywhere on the trails. The hot springs at the first camp were awesome.
Atlantic Camel Caravan - Coastal Trek
By: Ian Tearle, Devon, UK
The scenery is stunning and being able to go to sleep listening to the sea is breathtaking. I have trekked with you previously and was impressed by the level of professionalism. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing trip. Thank you
Dunes of the Sahara Traverse
By: Jean Nichol, Cumbria, UK
This was my first ever trekking experience and I have to admit having several concerns, all of which (well most of them!!) were allayed by KE's staff in their office at Keswick. They were right, I didn't need to worry at all. I had an amazing time! The scenery (for all it was desert) was quite varied. From small rolling dunes to flat stony (almost lunar landscape, to the magnificent high dunes that we climbed to the summit at New Year. The views from the top was sublime, miles and miles of Dunes rolling out in front of us, ever changing shades of light and dark as the sun set. Walking was not particularly difficult (6 - 7 hour days) but I did manage to get lots of blisters, in boots I'd worn many times before - take plenty of Compeeds! I think this was mainly due to the different movement of my foot whilst walking in sand! Mohammed and his team were great. Mohammed with his humour and knowledge and the others for assembling Camp at the end of the day and feeding us! The food was great. We particularly enjoyed the fresh salads at lunchtime, various tajines and the wonderfully sweet oranges. A ride on a camel completed my adventure in the desert although I have to admit it felt a bit like being led round a rather large beach on a rather large donkey! Still it had to be done especially as one of my 'fellow Trekkers' reminded Mohammed that I'd said I wanted to it at the beginning of the week (happy to oblige) Mohammed ensured my wish was granted! Marrakech is a place I need to go back to and explore properly. To my delight I discovered it wasn't the scary place I'd thought it would be, it was a fascinating kaleidoscope of colours/scents and sounds. My camera never stopped clicking! So 'yes' it was a wonderful experience, definitely to be repeated.
Costa Rica - Walks and Wildlife Adventure Holiday
By: Kathy Dale and Dave Hirst, Aberdeenshire, UK
We've finally done another exciting KE adventure! Just returned from the Costa Rica Walks and Wildlife trip which we would highly recommend. We saw over 150 species of bird, mammal, amphibian, reptile, fish and invertebrate, not to mention the plants! We had an excellent guide and the itinerary was fantastic. The animals are very easy to see and photograph as there are so many national parks and they are not afraid of humans as they have not been disturbed there for decades. My favourite was the Corcovado National Park, followed closely by Los Campesinos. So many great places to explore - will have to plan for next year now!
New Zealand - North to South
By: Pauline Bibby, Wigton, UK
This really was an amazing trip; one of the best I have done with anyone. Obviously good weather played its part, but the itinerary was well constructed and our guide Craig's in depth knowledge of forestry, environmental issues and New Zealand culture made it very special.

The hotel accommodation was far better than I could ever expect, some quite stunning. Tents great, nice that they were erected by the crew. Excellent mess tent and facilities. Food magnificent too, great in hotels and wonderful while camping. The crew was great, the driver very calm and safe, crew on trek friendly and helpful and Niri the trip leader was superb, very knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, patient and great English. Also, he is a very nice person. The walking was really good, longish days but plenty of time for wildlife spotting etc. The transfers were absolutely necessary in view of the distances involved between parks, but the vehicle was excellent and the journeys themselves were full of interest in terms of scenery, people and seeing Madagascar. They were in the main completed in the day in question and did not in any way compromise the trip.
Wild Tuscany - Italy
By: Fiona Denyer, Edinburgh
This trip was absolutely excellent. It was a divine setting and the food was amazing. The support crew were outstanding. The pace and itinerary were absolutely ideal for me and what I'd booked. There was great care and attention to detail made, making the whole trip brilliant. our guide Lindsay Cannon was outstanding. She taught me (I've walked for 25 years ) a couple of tips and really knows her stuff. Plus she has a lovely manner too. Words in a brochure cannot do justice to the hospitality we received and the walking experience. Thanks both to the venue and the guide. A truly amazing holiday.

I highly recommend the trip because of its incredibly diverse itinerary, mixing hiking with first-class cultural sights, wildlife and even the beach.
