Whether you fancy a Himalayan mountain bike challenge or an Alpine road riding blast in preparation for your next sportive, you will find what you are looking for amongst our global selection of biking adventures.
With a track record that stretches back almost 30 years, KE Adventure Travel has more accumulated experience of adventure cycling holidays than any other tour operator. We took the very first Muddy Fox Courier mountain bikes to Pakistan's Karakoram Mountains in 1986 and had, by the early 90`s, already set up a number of ultra-classic mountain biking holidays such as the Leh to Manali mountain bike traverse in India and the Lhasa to Kathmandu mountain bike ride in Tibet.
Subsequently, our collection of worldwide mountain bike adventures has continued to expand and diversify, with new mountain biking and road cycling holidays being established in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. Our range of popular biking adventures now includes holidays as different as Jordan's Dead 2 Red ride, Lake Titicaca to Machu Picchu in Peru, the Rajasthan Road Cycling Tour in India and the classic trans-Alp Geneva to Nice road biking adventure.
All of our cycling holidays are created by bikers for bikers and we have biking adventures to satisfy most levels of cycling ability. Our emphasis is on providing bike holidays for regular riders. When you turn up on one of our biking holidays, you know you'll be with like-minded cyclists and this makes a big difference! Whatever your interests or aspirations, we're sure to have an adventure holiday to suit - the hardest part will be choosing one!
Our biking holidays are separated into 3 types (Fat Tyre, Semi-Slick and Road Cycling) on the basis of the terrain involved and the type of bike and tyres required. Additionally, each of our holidays is graded on a scale of 1 to 12, with 12 being the most challenging. Please refer to our grading system, which identifies each holiday's level of difficulty and enables you to compare the difficulty of two or more cycling holidays of the same type.
You'll be amazed by the range and scope of the biking holidays that we now offer. Our biking adventures in Europe include mostly week-long holidays such as the challenging Pyrenees Raid road biking traverse which crosses many famous Tour de France cols. We also have a choice of popular European mountain biking adventures such as Red Hot in Iceland, Turkish Delight and the Balkans Bash in Montenegro. Another newcomer is the classic Cycling the Camino de Santiago which we have decided to run as an 800-kilometre off-road adventure in 11 days.
Our collection of Road Cycling holidays has also increased, both in Europe and further afield, with the addition of exciting bike rides in Thailand, Jordan and on the sun-kissed island of Gran Canaria, winter training ground of the pro bike teams. In Morocco, our Road Cycling Tour of Toubkal highlights all that is best about KE biking holidays - 1-week itinerary, fully inclusive, hotel and gite accommodation, fully supported, low-cost flights and excellent local bike hire. What's not to like?
Other new biking destinations for KE include Namibia, where we have set up a 2-week, 2-wheel exploration of the country's greatest attractions. Elsewhere, we have devised a tour that take in Canada's Ultimate Singletrack, an easy-paced tour amongst the Temples and Villages of Cambodia and a mountain biking exploration of the High Roads and Hill Tribes of Vietnam.
If you are looking for a mountain biking or cycling holiday, we are confident that you will find several that suit you amongst our wide selection. We are acknowledged experts when it comes to setting up and running adventure holidays and our staff are amongst the most experienced in the business. If you contact the KE office, you can speak to someone who has first-hand experience of the holiday that you are interested in - and that can really help you decide if the holiday is right for you.
