Winter Wonderland - Sweden Family Adventure
By: Elizabeth A Wickham, Kent, UK
was an action-packed programme of activities which provided everyone with new
and exciting experiences. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the
food was typically regional and beautifully presented.
This was an ideal family adventure holiday, with a varied and lively programme of activities, which provided us all (aged 8 to nearly 70) with new and exciting experiences.
We loved venturing out into the vast Arctic winterland on snowmobiles, fishing through holes in the thick ice on a lake, hurtling along the forest tracks on husky-drawn sleighs (everyone's favourite activity), snow-shoeing at night and again in the daytime for a forest picnic (our optional add-on for the last day), learning about the Sami way of life from a reindeer herder, visiting the famous Ice Hotel - well, everything!
Morocco Family Holiday - Camels on the Beach
By: Ian Tinsley, Warminster, UK
Mohammed Idali was the 'star of the show' and turned a good holiday into an excellent one. His manner throughout was exceptional; he was always very informative and gauged our group very well. He was excellent with our children (who thought he was 'so cool') and nothing was ever too much trouble for him.
Well organised and led. The scenery was outstanding with the option to swim every day in the sea at the end of a hot day's walking. The camels gave the trip an 'exotic' flavour. The in-country team were all first class. The Essouira day is a good cap to the walking part. Seeing the culture for the children (including some of the less attractive bits) was a great education for them.
Family Turkey - Anatolian Adventure
By: MacDonnell Family, London
Tuna Ozdemir is an excellent guide. He is very careful with all arrangements; He is extremely knowledgeable about trekking and the archaeological heritage of the area, which enriched all our travels. He knows the mountain passes so well, trekking is pleasant and never an effort or a rush. Tuna also kindly altered the plans to allow us to see the lovely Ihlara valley and a fascinating museum in Kayseri. Tuna arranged for us to go hot-ballooning too. Tuna has a dry humour that we all appreciated and a genuine love of the mountains that we shared.
All amenities were excellent. Very nice hotel in Cappadocia. Beautiful location for camping sites.
Jordan Family - Wadi Rum, Petra and the Dead Sea
By: MacDonnell Family, London
Out Bedouin guide Salem Qublan was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the desert environment and extremely jolly. We left Wadi Rum feeling that we had made a true friend. Salem was especially supportive of my son, and his attempts at natural rock climbing.
From the first evening, Murad Arslan was the perfect guide - helping us settle in at Madaba and locating a nearby shawarma stall despite the late hour. Murad took great care to ensure we were always fully informed, with much details of both natural features and historical sites. It is rare to find a guide so knowledgeable and agreeable. When we had a special request, he made every effort to help us - such as seeing Petra by night or snorkeling in Aqaba. Our son had a birthday during our stay in Jordan and Murad thoughtfully arranged a big birthday cake and sing-along at the Dead Sea spa. Murad also has a photographer's eye, and gave us a lovely cd collection of pictures of the trip! Most of all, we appreciated Murads delightful sense of humour and adventure: from staging comical photo-ops on the cliff side to finding a way for us to try out sand-dune surfing. Murad is a true professional, a kind person and a real credit to KE.
Nice blend of sightseeing and hiking.
Tigers, Temples and Taj, Family Adventure in India
By: Kirsten Lynch, Hampshire, UK
We were looked after and cared for so well by Krishna. The fact that you didn't have to worry about any meals and that krishna sussed our love of local food and took us to appropriate eating places and helped us to order.Anand, our main driver was a wonderful asset to the trip.
Most enjoyed - How much we managed to see and do.The organisation was perfect, with flexibility if needed.
Sri Lanka - Island Explorer, Family Adventure
By: Alison Liney, Somerset, UK
This was one of the best trips our family has ever done; the itinerary was full and varied with so many different things to see and do. We most enjoyed the beauty and diversity of the country, seeing the animals - leopards, elephants, crocs and being immersed in the country; this was very special.
Asanga was a great trip leader. He was so knowledgeable and thoughtful. He showed us his beautiful country and shared so much with us - he kept us very well informed and I don't think there was a question he didn't know the answer to.
Everest Lodge Trek - Family Adventure Holiday

Teenage Toubkal Ascent - Morocco Family Adventure
By: Tim & Heather Naylor, Cumbria, UK
Our holiday was fantastic! Every day was different and excellent. The hotel better than we had expected. The support staff did a great job and the food was excellent. Mustapha our leader in particular really made the holiday. He was fantastic, helpful, interesting & knowledgable. Without his encouragement I'm sure we wouldn't have all made the summit. The entire support team were very good with the kids in our group - ages 10 -17. Also on our last days in Marrakesh, we had a great time exploring. Overall we had an absolutely brilliant holiday and we would travel with KE again.
