Slovenia Snow Spectacular

By: Jerry Fenner, Dorset, UK

I enjoyed pretty much all of it - I would have loved a longer time with the dogs. Our guide coped well with a group that was quite diverse in abilities and fitness levels - from a young one, very fit, and naturally sporty to us older ones!

Mount Everest Marathon

By: Kenneth Jones, Merseyside, UK

Despite the fact that my trip was cancelled last year due to the Ash Cloud, KE were very good at keeping me informed and when the option to book again came there was no problem. At no time did I feel my trip or my money were in jeopardy - thank you very much KE. From when I got picked up at the airport in Kathmandu on day 1 everything was spot on, there was no time that the itinerary was incorrect. The only issue was the landing at Lukla, this was delayed by 24hrs due to the low cloud, other than that my trip was FANTASTIC. All the crew and the local agents were fantastic, nothing was too much. All the crew did brilliant, from the kitchen hand to the trek leader they all did great and were a credit to KE. Both Dem Chan and Kamal (hope I have spelt their names correct) were very knowledgeable and were very enthusiastic. They both displayed great confidence in what they were doing and cared about succeeding in their task of getting all the group to base camp and to the start of the marathon. They ensured we all had a good time and did not climb too quickly so we got the best from the trip and acclimatised at the right pace. For 20 years I have wanted to go to base camp and when I finally did it I was so pleased and a little emotional. The overall satisfaction was FANTASTIC. It was all I thought it would be and more, from booking the trip to walking through my front door at the end. It was the best trip I have ever done. Did I enjoy my holiday? Without a doubt - find a word better than excellent and there is your answer. I hope I have said all I have wanted to! I have had a FANTASTIC trip, all the Crew were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. If you are thinking of going on this trip do not waste time shopping around go through KE, the support, logistics and trek leaders was all spot on and great value for money. A truly hassle free trip which left me to enjoy my trip, I did not worry about anything.

Family Turkey - Anatolian Adventure

By: Susan Boxall, Bristol, England

Food was wonderful and Turan was very good at encouraging our boys to eat local turkish food.Special mention for Ibo our driver who was always friendly and willing to help. The cook Adam on our camping trip was great and got involved with playing cards with the boys.Turan our guide provided excellent information, knowledgeable and well educated.Itinerary offer a variety of activities. Our boys are 9 and 11. Only downside was the boys not being able to dash off on their horses at top speed. Their highlights are as follows:9 year old - camping, horse-riding. My nine year complained about walking and views (but he would rather be playing football and rugby!!)11 year old - walking, horse-riding, Turkish bath and hot air ballooning. Adults - exceeded all expectations.

By: Eleni Bampou, London, UK

I would definitely recommend the trip to friends. I enjoyed everything especially the canyoning and the dessert camping. Our local trip leader was excellent, really added value to our experience and his support, enthusiasm and patience made our trip unforgettable. The performace of the support crew was really good.

Highlights of El Salvador

By: Chris Hilstead, London, UK

Given that tourism is in it's infancy in El Salvador, the hotels were very good. I didn't expect the country to be as beautiful and the walks to be as good. Only one night is necessary at Miramundo though and there are maybe better options near Cerro Verde National Park. It was great to have a couple of days at the beach at the end. Joaquim was excellent - very good English, energetic, always smiling and joking. I think the whole group liked him. The only niggle I was aware of was on the first climb where the pace was too quick. We learned to take the durations of drives with a pinch of salt - if we were told it would be 2 hours, this normally meant 4.

There were a few differences between the trip notes and the actual itinerary. Some of these were unavoidable (e.g. on some walks we could only go when the police wanted to go). There were also cases where we had to stay in hotels out of town rather than in town. The first few nights were also colder than expected - the packing list should include a warm coat and light sleeping bag.

Multi-Activity Peru

By: Sarah Weir, West Yorkshire, UK

My favourite aspects of this trip were arriving at Machu Picchu and walking through the sungate; meeting new people and being constantly entertained by the variety of the itinerary.

High Jinks in Bulgaria Family Adventure

By: David Baker, Ryton, Tyne & Wear

Fantastic help from the office staff making sure arrangements could be made to suit our flight arrivals. We've never experienced such flexibility from a holiday company before.

This was an action packed holiday undertaken in a relaxed, steady way.

This was the first time we had experienced a "personal" guide as the only family on the holiday. Our leader (Ivo) was very easy to get along with and was great with the kids. He ensured that everything ran perfectly smoothly and that all activities were undertaken safely.

We cannot understand how more people don't book this trip. It is a wonderful week of exciting activity, beautiful scenery and great food.

Family Adventure Slovenia - Julian Alps Jamboree

By: Andy and Melanie Ashton, UK

Cant really speak highly enough of our local agent and trip leaders David and Jernij. They made last minute changes to collection and drop off plans to accommodate the group, they sorted out all our special requests, they were efficient, friendly and knowledgeable on all the activities, they were brilliant with the kids (giving them the freedom and independence they crave at this age and us parents a break)and were good fun to spend time with. They were also flexible with timings and arrangements so that we never felt rushed and everyones needs were accommodated. The lunch food that was arranged was particularly good - especially at the mountain hut (on the hike) and in Bled after the hire wires course. It is the people that make a trip like this memorable and we felt very lucky to have great fun fellow holidaymakers and such good trip guides. We all felt that we had been away longer than the week as we had packed so much in. The activities were pitched just right for the group - there was some challenge for every person on every activity. The adults enjoyed all the fun stuff as much as the kids. This area of Slovenia is also so beautiful, the scenery too is uplifting. We enjoyed all the activities - something to challenge everybody on every one of them. The area of Slovenia - just beautiful, the friendliness of the groupThe feeling of freedom from parental control for the children. The holiday met and probably exceeded all expectations. Delighted!

Winter Wonderland - Sweden Family Adventure

By: Elizabeth A Wickham, Kent, UK

There was an action-packed programme of activities which provided everyone with new and exciting experiences. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the food was typically regional and beautifully presented.

This was an ideal family adventure holiday, with a varied and lively programme of activities, which provided us all (aged 8 to nearly 70) with new and exciting experiences.

We loved venturing out into the vast Arctic winterland on snowmobiles, fishing through holes in the thick ice on a lake, hurtling along the forest tracks on husky-drawn sleighs (everyone's favourite activity), snow-shoeing at night and again in the daytime for a forest picnic (our optional add-on for the last day), learning about the Sami way of life from a reindeer herder, visiting the famous Ice Hotel - well, everything!
