Sri Lanka - Island Explorer, Family Adventure
By: Alison Liney, Somerset, UK
This was one of the best trips our family has ever done; the itinerary was full and varied with so many different things to see and do. We most enjoyed the beauty and diversity of the country, seeing the animals - leopards, elephants, crocs and being immersed in the country; this was very special.
Asanga was a great trip leader. He was so knowledgeable and thoughtful. He showed us his beautiful country and shared so much with us - he kept us very well informed and I don't think there was a question he didn't know the answer to.
Ecuador and the Galapagos
By: Keith Mitford, North Yorkshire, UK
Enjoyed having Carlos as our trip leader/guide in Ecuador. Very informative and knowledgable. Had every confidence in him trekking at altitude.
Most enjoyed - Good guides, trekking on Cotapaxi.Varied walks and beautiful countryside.Reaching 5000 metres altitude.Visiting the Galapagos Islands, a dream come true.
Kilimanjaro Trek and Safari
By: Marc Smith, Kent, UK
An unbelievable experience! The support crew were tremendous. They couldn't do enough for you. From water boy to the porter who had the unenvious job of emptying the toilet, they all pulled together to make the experience an unforgettable pleasure.
Peter was nothing but the best the whole way through. He exuded confidence and experience and it was easy to feel totally cared for the whole way to the top and back down again. He was always aware of your personal safety throughout, including hygiene - an integral part to staying healthy throughout the trip. He was our guiding light.
An absolutely amazing experience, that seems a little surreal. I'm sure it will take time to sink in properly and the mammoth challenge we achieved will finally dawn upon us. I met some amazing new friends and shared so many wonderful moments that I will treasure for many many years to come. Thank you KE
Most Enjoyed: physical challenge, it was a mental assault. Without the support from the people around me I would not have made it. Sharing that moment on summit day, after the grueling ascent that pushed you through the point of exhaustion and beyond, was unreal. Sunrise on the peak of Africa's highest mountain - perfect!
Polar Cruise - Antarctica Classic
By: Michael Burn, Watford, UK
I would have been very dissapointed if I had NOT done the Kayaking. I had 4 x 1.5hrs plus 1 x 3hrs = 9hrs on the water. The food on board was excellent. One nights camping - first class sleeping bags and tents. Kayak equipment also first class. We had some of the best weather seen in Antarctica over a 5 day period. All the leaders / lectures were excellent. I had a great time and would gladly recommend it to anyone. I most enjoyed the wilderness experience along with the stunning wildlife. Thanks for a wonderful holiday. Once I've sorted through 2,419 photos I'll send you some.
Zulu Warriors - South Africa Family Safari Holiday
By: Tim & Cathy Hooper, Keswick, UK
I had not expected that our guide would be so knowledgeable and personable. This created an exciting atmosphere in which we all shared. He was a hit with our family and we have invited him to stay with us. He is a great ambassador for your trips.
Most enjoyed - The game drives in the Kruger, enjoyed the variety. The Drakensburg
Best of Botswana - Okavango, Chobe & Vic Falls
By: Louise Osborne, Bristol, UK
This was the trip of a lifetime for us and it really fulfilled our dreams.
The wildlife viewing was fantastic and the guides extremely knowledgeable. Specialist guides with local and wildlife knowledge joined us at certain points in the trip. The proximity to the wildlife and the sheer numbers were amazing, while the animals remained relaxed by our presence. We were usually the only truck or landrover in the vicinity watching the wildlife - a real privilege.
Namibia Highlights Tour
By: Keith Muir, Glasgow, UK
We were very fortunate to have a wonderful guide and equally wonderful co-travellers. Namibia is stunning but it is a very big country and involves a lot of travelling by road.
Many of the lodgings were in isolated wilderness spots which were beautiful
Costa Rica - Walks and Wildlife Adventure Holiday
By: Nan Pratt, Swindon, UK
I am thrilled with this holiday. It gave an excellent and varied introduction to Costa Rica. Wonderful!
The aspects I most enjoyed were: variety of locations from tropical rainforest to 'alpine' conditions, quality of our leader, different types of accommodation, including log cabins - particularly close to the forests / Pacific / the wild, meeting Ticos, especially those who are endeavouring to improve their lot with ecotourism off the beaten track, swimming in plunge pools, hot springs, the Pacific ocean (and hotel pools), walking through a wide range of ecosystems and landscapes, observing birds, mammals, sea-life, Gallo pinto! small group, sunsets.
Walter (our leader) was enthusiastic to show us as much as possible. His knowledge of wildlife and love of his country are exemplary. He appreciated our different needs and interests and tried effectively to engage us all.
There was even more diverse habitats than I expected. The level of walking was never too difficult - I feared it may have been. This was a superb experience. I loved every moment, even when I was physically stretched.
Polar Cruise - The Realm of the Polar Bear
By: John Dawson, Derbyshire, UK
Walruses. Zodiac excursions on calm fjords under the snouts of glaciers. Being given free access to the bridge of the ship. The day in Longyearbyen was most interesting. The scenery was awesome. The knowledgeable members of the team on the ship. All sorts of subjects were covered. having the use of a small gym on the ship to try and run some of the food off.
While my wife's daughter fell about laughing at the thought of her getting into a Zodiac we experienced no trouble at all as reasonably fit 71 and 69 year olds.
Antarctic Basecamp Adventure
By: Rob Eagle, Somerset, UK
The company are highly experienced in providing polar cruises and the staff they selected for the organisation on the trip and for the multi-activities were of a very high standard.
The snowshoeing short hikes were excellent. Weather was variable but EVERY effort was made to get as much done at many different locations as possible - even a "landing" directly onto sea ice (which the company had never done before).
Most enjoyed - Antarctica! Snowshoeing with my wife in superb scenery. Whales.
