Food writer tips Burmese food to be next big thing
While Burma has become famous as a popular walking destination, there is another of its many attributes that could be set to be make waves among the western world.
In a blog published in the Independent, celebrated food writer Naomi Duguid shares her experiences of the nations cuisine, one which she believes could become the latest food to become available on our shores, with such a diverse range of meals its easy to see why.
Acting as a corridor for trade between India, China and South East Asia, Burma's food has often been eclipsed by that of its overpowering neighbours.
In an effort to share her experiences, Ms Diguid has compiled ‘Burma Rivers of Flavor', a book of 125 mouth watering recipes straight from the heart of Burmese culture; one which he hopes will inspire many to embrace the foods of the country.
