Soldiers to tackle Mighty Sahara for Charity
The trek will be happening in October and the lads are currently in training for their adventure challenge. The five soldiers have all spent time overseas and have seen their fellow troops lose their lives or suffer from injuries whilst serving their country.
They decided that a trek across the difficult Sahara would be the perfect way to honour the memory of their friends and raise money that would go to supporting others like them.
Whilst raising money for charities such as Help for Heroes and the Royal British Legion, the soldiers will get to experience a desert landscape like no other, with camping under starry skies, hours of daily trekking and impressive sand dunes making up the highlights of their adventure.
Tackling the Sahara would also be a good choice for fans of trekking holidays , a challenging adventure that will hopefully see these soldiers go the distance.
