Unfortunately we have had to cancel our trips to Pakistan over the next few months.
Following the murder of the group of climbers at Nanga Parbat base camp on the 22nd of June, the British Government's Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) have changed their advice on travel to Pakistan. They now advise against all but essential travel to the area of Gilgit-Baltistan.
In the light of this, we cannot run our trips out of Skardu and Hunza.
We are contacting all clients affected and offering them the choice of: an alternative holiday, a transfer to same trip in 2014 or a total refund of all money paid to KE Adventure Travel.
This ban on travel to one of the most beautiful, but poorest, areas of the world will have a huge impact on the economy of the extremely hospitable people of the Karakoram. We truly hope that the situation will change soon and that we can return as soon as possible. Dates for 2014 are already available.
