A Bhutan Royal Wedding
It was recently announced that Bhutan's young king, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and his student bride will tie the knot in October. Whilst we can't guarantee you an invitation to the wedding, we can promise you a special Bhutanese experience on any one of a number of post-monsoon adventures in this charming Himalayan Kingdom. With interest in Bhutan at an all-time high, there are just a few places available on the Druk Path Trek (Thimpu Festival) and on the High Passes of Lunana Trek (25 Sep). It's the same story for the Chomolhari Trek (Thimpu Festival) and for Bumthang and the Black-necked Cranes. Maybe biking is your thing and you are looking for one of the world's greatest rides, the Thunder Dragon Ride (22 Oct) is also almost sold out.
