Join us at the Keswick Mountain Festival
If you are visiting the Lake District over the next few days why not come along and visit us at the 6th annual Keswick Mountain Festival. Running all this week until 20th May the festival celebrates the best the great outdoors has to offer. KE Adventure Travel will be giving some inspirational talks about in vogue adventure travel destinations at the Berghaus Live for Adventure Theatre at the heart of the festival village.
In addition there are the usual lake and mountain competitions, as well as a whole range of recreational activities. Your favourite outdoor brands will be represented and there are some other great inspirational speakers, such as Monty Halls, Helen Skelton, Sir Chris Bonington, Cameron McNeish and Mick Fowler.
KE Adventure Travel Talks
Fri 18 May: Madagascar ~ the most Dramatic (12pm to 1pm)
Director Tim Greening takes us on a journey through southern Madagascar, trekking through the Isalo National Park and then transferring to the remote Andringitra Mountains and more.
Fri 18 May: Burma ~ Adventures on the Road (4pm to 5pm)
Product Manager Fiona Marshall talks about her travels in Burma, a land of golden temples and friendly people, after her visit to this fascinating country which is firmly back on the tourist map.
Sat 19 May: ~ Judgement Days in a Mountaineering Life (11am to 12pm)
KE Leader of the Year 2011, well-respected mountaineer and all-round nice guy, Tom Richardson talks about his new book Judgement Days. His story of climbing in the Himalaya and Karakoram over more than 30 years.
