50 Tours of a Lifetime 2009
Morocco Petits Caravanniers Family Adventure featured in National Geographic Traveler Magazine's 50 Tours of a Lifetime 2009
For the past four years, National Geographic Traveler Magazine has run a feature on '50 Tours of a Lifetime' and we are proud to have been selected a second time for our Petits Caravanniers Family Adventure in Morocco. The article covers three categories of trips, Active, Cultural and Classic - with our family adventure naturally falling into the active category. The focus this year has been not only on the most singular, authentic, and sustainable trips on offer by tour companies but also on the best value trips.
The Petits Carvanniers trip was chosen in part due to its unique multi-lingual angle. Both French and English speaking families, team up to join a traditional camel caravan through the Moroccan desert. Along the way, children (and adults) can hunt for fossils and visit Berber households. They will sleep under the stars at night and hike over high sand dunes during the day. If in need of a little rest, then the camels are at hand to transport any weary adventurers.
