Tragedy on Mont Blanc
We were shocked and saddened to hear yesterday of the awful news of the avalanche on Mt Blanc that claimed the life of Roger Payne. Roger had worked as a guide for KE in the Alps on many occasions, and all our clients noted his sense of professionalism, good humour and superb leadership qualities. Our thoughts go out to his wife, Julie-Ann and his family. KE will continue to run our Mt Blanc Ascent trips this summer. As ever, we take the safety of our clients and guides extremely seriously and will assess ground and weather conditions on each occasion before attempting an ascent of Mt Blanc.
