All Roads Lead to Everest ...
The trek to the Basecamp of Everest is a lifetime goal of most walkers and lovers of mountain scenery. KE is now able to offer several different ways of reaching Everest Base Camp, allowing everyone to choose the route and level of challenge and comfort that suits them.
On our Classic Everest Base Camp trek, which includes the opportunity to reach both the real basecamp of Everest and also the summit of Kala Patar, famed for fantastic sunrise and sunset views, you can choose between camping on the classic trek or staying in Sherpa lodges on our Everest Basecamp Lodge Trek. Both of these 18 day treks journey from the airstrip at Lukla through Namche Bazaar, Thyangboche Monastery and beside the Khumbu Glacier to Basecamp.
If you feel like you can't do without home comforts, why not see Everest in style on our Everest Luxury Lodge Trek; whilst this trek does not go to base camp, you can enjoy the views of Everest from a brand-new route on the west side of the Dudh Kosi and from the comfort of the best lodge accommodation in the Khumbu Valley. For something easier which will fit perfectly within a two week holiday our Everest Panorama Trek also enjoys fantastic views of Everest and stays in the more basic standard lodge accommodation making this a cheaper option.
For a more adventurous walking holiday, the Original Everest Basecamp Trek follows the footsteps of the early mountaineers' walk-in from Jiri. This is a spectacular 23 day journey which starts in the jungle and ends at the foot of the world's highest peak.
For the keen hill-walker, our Ultimate Everest Trek itinerary first treks through the stunning lake-bejewelled Gokyo Valley before crossing the Cho La Pass to Kalar Patar and Everest base camp, or why not take up the challenge of Everest The Hard Way - a complete traverse of the Khumbu visiting all its major valleys and crossing three high passes, including the rarely crossed Renjo La.
If you want to include a visit to the Annapurna region as well as Everest, then why not
consider the Annapurna and Everest Luxury Lodge Trek - with accommodation in luxury lodges and exciting mountain flights, this all adds up to an unforgettable experience.
If you would like to see Everest from the north side, then Everest from Tibet should be the trip of your choice. Flying into the Tibetan capital Lhasa, this trip offers an insight into the local culture as well as views of Everest. For an altogether different view of Everest, there's the Kangshung Face of Everest , a wilderness trek to the rarely-visited east side of Everest.
All our Everest treks are fully inclusive of all meals, including when staying in Kathmandu, and all are led by experienced KE guides. On all trips, personal equipment is carried by porters making the goal of Everest Basecamp obtainable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.
We now have many dates in Spring and Autumn 2010 which are already guaranteed departures and we advise early booking on all our extremly popular Everest treks.
