Clothing and Equipment
It is important that the clothing and equipment you take on your adventure holiday is appropriate for the trip you have chosen. There is a fine balance between taking too much and too little, especially considering that you need to equip yourself for differing levels of physical exertion and also for a range of climatic conditions.
It is generally a good idea to keep the overall weight of your clothing and equipment to a minimum and we recommend that your packed trek bag should weigh no more than 15 kgs (33 lbs). For each trip we provide an equipment list which you can view via the specific trip page, or in the trip dossier. We ask you to examine these in a flexible manner, adapting it where you feel necessary to your own outdoor experience or preference.
Our Clothing and Equipment Guide will provide more information to help you select the items of clothing and equipment that you really need for your trip. Please also refer to our Useful Links page for details of specialist retailers who can offer further advice and assistance with purchasing clothing or equipment.
