The yearly festival is a 5 day medley of exciting outdoor events & activities, guest speakers, live music and much more.
This year's programme is gearing up to be the best yet with events, the large Adventure Base you can sample different activities, such as climbing and water walking, and there is a dazzling line up of speakers. KE Adventure will also be holding a series of informal talks at the office to inspire the wanderlust in us all. See below for details.
Events this year include; the famous Triathlon, undoubtedly the most beautiful course in the country; the planetFear Lakes Epic a 2-day mountain biking adventure with 100km of riding and 3000m of up & down; the Latrigg Fell Race, now in its 38th year; Keswick Sportive, Derwent Island Swim , the Borrowdale Trail Run and more Triathlon's.
Guest Speakers
An outstanding line up of speakers this year enables you to listen to great adventure story's from some of the most well known British outdoor enthusiasts. The 2011 line up includes: Sir Chris Bonington CBE Britains' best known climber and expedition leader; Ray Mears An authority on Bushcraft and Survival; Geoff Somers A Keswick man and one of our greatest living explorers; Mark Beaumont Cycled around the world and biked between (and climbed) Mount McKinley and Aconcagua.

KE Adventure Travel Talks
Visitors to the festival can take advantage of the following informal talks presented on successive evenings at the KE office. These talks take place from 5pm - 6pm (before the main evening speakers) and are free of charge. If you would like to contribute a donation please make it to the Juniper Trust .
These talks are designed to give you an overview of the areas discussed, and make your dream, and inspirations come true.
Wed 18 May: Desert Trekking - The Sahara and Beyond
Just back from Algeria, Ben Walker will take you through his experiences of trekking in the Hoggar mountains while Dan Short will talk about The Dana to Petra trek in Jordan. We will also feature our desert treks in Morocco and Egypt.

Thu 19 May: Travelling with your Bike - Overseas Adventures on 2 Wheels
Glenn Rowley will recall tales from the numerous bike trips that he has lead through out the world, including Morocco , Bhutan , Tibet, India and Kazakstan . He will also give advice on packing your bike for the rigors of air travel.

Fri 20 May: Easy Climbing Holidays in the Himalaya
Pete Royal and Dan Short have led endless KE climbing trips to the Himalayas and have a wealth of experience on the popular mountains such as Stok Kangri in India and Mera Peak in Nepal. If you have questions on altitude or equipment, they will have the answers.
