Flight Information
With diverse clientele joining our trips from around the world and increasingly sophisticated online booking technology, many of our clients choose to book their own international flights.
The proliferation of no-frills / low-cost airlines means there are now some destinations (such as Geneva and Marrakech) where it makes sense for clients to book flights directly. For holidays to such destinations we only show the Land Only price.
You must check that your chosen holiday has reached the minimum number required and is 'Guaranteed to Run' - BEFORE paying for your air tickets. The trip status is shown next to each departure on the Dates and Prices page for each trip. Alternatively you can check with the KE office.
What is Land Only
The Land Only price includes everything except the cost of the international flights and you are responsible for making your own way to the being of the tour. Information on where the tour starts is clearly laid out on the individual holidays on the website, brochure and in the dossiers. When you book a Land Only Package we will give you details of the hotel to be used by your group and the date on which you should meet.
Airport Transfers
If your own flight arrival and departure times allow you to take advantage of the group airport transfers then we can include these at no extra charge. Details of the timings of the group transfers can be found on the Dates and Prices page of each trip. Alternatively we can arrange private transfers for you to the start point of the tour, please contact the KE office for a price.
Internal Flights
These may or may not be included in the Land Only Package. Please check the ‘What's Included' page on the individual trips. In certain circumstances when the Internal Flights are included we ask for a higher deposit to allow us to purchase these flights as soon as if the trip is guaranteed.
Booking your own flights
If you are purchasing your own air tickets, you should be aware that most of the cheaper airline tickets available for sale on the internet or from low cost carriers are non-refundable in the case of cancellation. For this reason we strongly advise you check the rules of the ticket when you make a flight booking, and check the limitations of any cancellation insurance policy you have. We cannot be held liable, in the unlikely eventuality that we should be forced to cancel your trip, for losses incurred relating to any flight booking you have made yourself. Please see the Booking conditions for further details.
You will need to forward your full flight schedule including the airline, flight numbers, departure and arrival times to the KE office as soon as your flights are confirmed.
Alternative Airlines & Scheduled flights
If you do not wish use the chosen KE airline then you can book your flights through a travel agent, directly online with the airline, or online using a variety of travel search engines and consolidator sites. We can recommend www.kayak.com. While kayak does not sell flights, it quickly searches several hundred regular and discount websites to find the best deals.
Low-cost / Budget Airlines
We have chosen to sell certain holidays only as Land only Package basis. This is due to the large number of airlines offering low-cost, no-frills flights to these destinations. We have listed the most important online websites of these airlines below. This is by far the easiest and the cheapest way to book your flights to these destinations. Certain airlines fly from more that one airport in the UK so you can select which regional airport is best for you.
