Trekking holidays in Australasia

Trekking in AustralasiaHome to fun-loving and laid back people, this part of the world also has lots of great trekking

Australia and New Zealand have little in common geographically. With its vast desert interior and widely dispersed mountainous regions, Australia stands in marked contrast to the much more compact country of New Zealand, home to soaring peaks and a rugged coastline. But, there are great treks to be experienced on both sides of the Tasman Sea. One of the best places for mountain walking in the whole of the Australian continent is amongst the Blue Mountains and Snowy Mountains in the south-eastern states of New South Wales and Victoria. Our Hiking Down Under trip is a 2 week trekking holiday that includes a selection of day walks and reaches the top of Mount Kosciuszko, Australia’s highest peak. In the Land of the Long White Cloud, our 3 week Kiwi Explorer trip offers the chance to sample many of the finest New Zealand trek experiences, such as the Tongariro Crossing, Queen Charlotte Track, Mount Aspiring and the wild West Coast.  KE can show you the very best of Antipodean adventure.
