Trekking holiday in Slovakia

Recently elected to full membership of the European Union, the potential of Slovakia as a destination for exciting, alpine-style walking holidays is about to be realised. The recent introduction of low-cost  flights  to  Poprad-Tatry is clear evidence of Slovakia's growing popularity. It is the rocky summits of the High Tatras, rising to heights of over 2500m/8000ft, which provide the dramatic backdrop for our week-long Slovakian hiking holiday. Following established trails and using characterful mountain hut accommodation, with good food and expert local guides, there is the option on most afternoons to do some additional exploration deeper into the range.
