- The North African mountain bike enduro
- A hardcore mountain bike adventure
- Bike in the shadow of Toubkal
- Meet the Berber people of the High Atlas
- The ultimate Moroccan biking holiday
Pioneered by us almost a decade ago, this is a superb Moroccan adventure biking enduro route and ranks amongst the hardest of KE's biking holidays. It offers a considerable amount of climbing and a fair amount of technical singletrack. Going where others don't dare, we traverse the central part of Morocco's Atlas Mountains, crossing a succession of high passes and traversing the high and varied valleys that lie between Imilchil in the north-east and Imlil in the south-west. Finally, from our gite at Ait Souka, tucked beneath the slopes of Mount Toubkal (4167m), North Africa's highest peak, we complete this Moroccan odyssey by riding back to the red walled city of Marrakech. This is a continuous mountain biking journey, following mule tracks and rough, narrow piste roads between the many picturesque Berber villages. We even provide mule transport to help with the longest carry climbs! Only confident and experienced riders should attempt this high-level mountain bike route. It should not be underestimated, nor mistaken for the easy Atlas foothills riding offered by other mountain bike companies. Combining the colour and mystique of Marrakech with the delightful Berber people and landscapes of the High Atlas, this is real adventure - the ultimate Moroccan mountain biking experience.

Trip Guide
FAT TYRE ADVENTURE - Taking an uncompromising line through the Atlas Mountains, this is one of our toughest mountain biking holidays, involving long days and testing biking conditions. It is definitely not a trip for beginners. The majority of the route is on piste (dirt) roads or on tracks between the valleys and villages. The altitude is never extreme, but the rugged terrain, along with the amount of ascent and descent ensure that this is a challenge for even the most accomplished riders. A good level of fitness and competent bike handling skills are essential. In total, we climb and descend approximately 13,500 metres and there are some long sections where we have to push or carry our bikes up to passes. There are even some sections of descent that are too technical to ride. In Morocco, the heat of the sun can be a factor and this is why we run this trip either side of the hot summer months. It is the diversity of this biking holiday that makes it so superb. Stunning scenery, great cycling, and the friendliness of the local people make this an unforgettable experience. Mountain biking in remote areas, you need to be confident in your ability. BIKE HIRE AVAILABLE LOCALLY.
