  • Explore the dunes at Sossusvlei
  • The Skeleton Coast
  • Stunning Etosha Safari

A new and exciting trekking and touring holiday adventure to Namibia. With towering sand dunes, a wild Atlantic coastline, world-class game parks, a diverse cultural heritage and 300 days of sunshine a year, Namibia is a simply outstanding adventure holiday destination. Our bespoke trekking and touring holiday adventure to Namibia includes many of the major attractions, such as the striking dunescapes at Sossusvlei, the shipwrecks and seal colonies of the atmospheric Skeleton Coast and a safari in Etosha (elephants, lions and many other species visit the floodlit waterholes of this world-famous national park). However, where this adventure holiday to Namibia differs from most others, is that we have incorporated a 3-day trekking route to the summit of Brandberg (2573m), the highest peak in Namibia. Giving us a chance to stretch our legs and enjoy far-reaching views, our walking excursions also takes in the fantastic Bushman rock art site of Snake Rock Cave. From the capital city of Windhoek to the charming German coastal town of Swakopmund, this is a chance to see and experience the very best of Namibia.

Trip Guide

This trip is a mix of touring and sightseeing with 4 days trekking at a moderate grade. For this trekking element you should be comfortable with walking on a variety of rough terrain including across boulders and with some steep ascents and descents. Two of the trekking days (up to and out from, the base camp for the ascent of the Brandberg) will necessitate an element of backpacking where you will be required to carry your sleeping bag, camping mattress and a portion of the group food and equipment. We estimate that on these two days you will be carrying approximately 12 kg (25 pounds). It may be possible to hire porters to carry your personal equipment on these days, but this cannot be guaranteed and it is not possible for us to arrange this in advance. The trip also includes a considerable amount of driving across some very remote country, on roads which are often only suitable for rugged vehicles. Overland travel of this type can be a hot and dusty experience, and in order to get the most out of this outstanding trip, you need to be prepared for this. In the game park we use fully enclosed Land-Cruiser jeeps or purpose built safari vehicles which have a pop-up roof for game viewing.
