Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel. There will be a single timed group transfer from Havana Airport. KE group package services begin with a late night dinner snack.
Day 2: After breakfast we transfer to Playa Giron (3 hrs). After lunch we prepare our bikes and can relax by the pool or on the palm fringed caribbean beaches.
Day 3: Using a little known track that runs along coast we ride to Castillo de Jagua. After taking a ferry across the harbour bay we cycle to our comfortable hotel located just outside of Cienfuegos.
Day 4: Today is a beautiful, undulating ride to the marvellous town of Trinidad. Stopping for lunch at a farm along the way we have time to take in the wonderful surrounding scenery.
Day 5: We have a free day to explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Trinidad, with it's cobblestone streets and tiled courtyards, at our leisure. Or simply chill out and relax on the beach.
Day 6: Leaving Trinidad we transfer inland to the Sierra de Escambray amongst coniferous forests and a cooler climate. Our ride to Santa Clara is spectacular on quiet roads.
Day 7: After visiting the Che Guevara Mausoleum, we cycle by a different route to Cienfuegos, the 'Pearl of the South', this time staying at a pleasant hotel in the town itself.
Day 8: Transferring to Guanajay we then cycle in the beautiful Cordillera de Guaniguanico to the 'Rainbow of Cuba', through an area noted for its orchids and tall trees, and our hotel in Soroa.
Day 9: Cycling through rolling hill country dominated by sugar plantations and cattle ranches, we reach our overnight stop in San Diego de Los Banos with it's wonderful countryside.
Day 10: Today we cycle into the magnificent Vinales National Park, with it's marshmallow-shaped hills known as Mogotes, fertile plains and valleys to spend 2 nights at a hotel near Vinales itself.
Day 11: A day to relax and explore the laid back area and town of Vinales. One option is to visit the psychedelic Mural de la Prehistoria painting, or the Indio Cave. Overnight in Vinales.
Day 12: Scenic ride through rice fields, past thatched cottages to the Atlantic coast and the Archipelago de los Colorados. We complete our ride at Playa Mulata and transfer to Havana.
Day 13: Enjoy the world Havana style and explore this fascinating city at our leisure. Tonight we can dance the night away in Havana and celebrate the end of our tour of enchanting Cuba.
Day 14: KE group package services end after breakfast. There is a single timed group transfer to Havana Airport.
