Day 3: Starting early to make the most of the cool we ride the 106 km / 66 miles to Mpandamatanga on a good quality tar road. After lunch we transfer to the border town of Nata and visit the Mgadigadi Saltpans, before driving to our camp at Planet Baobab.

Day 4: We start out with a ride from camp towards Maun, then have an afternoon transfer to Audi Camp, which is a short distance from Maun. We have a free afternoon today.

Day 5: A day off the bikes as we take a game drive in search of the "Big 5" in one of Africa's most beautiful wildlife reserves at Moremi. Tonight we camp wild in the reserve ..!

Day 6: An exciting early morning game drive in Moremi, when many of the animals are at their most active, before returning to Audi Camp and another refreshing dip in the pool.

Day 7: Today starts with transfer to the edge of the Kalahari. From here, we ride about 120 km / 75 miles in 2 sections and on relatively flat roads through a stunning landscape. A short final transfer takes us to our camp at Ghanzi.

Day 8: This morning we go bush in the company of the San Bushmen, enjoying a guided walk in their backyard, before a major transfer into Namibia and it's capital Windhoek.

Day 9: Our crew stock up on supplies this morning so we have a slightly later start today. We transfer to the Gamesberg Pass then its a 80 km / 50 mile ride on undulating gravel roads to our camp.

Day 10: Starting early we ride approx 100 km / 62 miles across the stunning Namibian landscape, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn en-route, to Solitaire before transferring to Sesriem and our camp - with pool.

Day 11: A pre dawn start today for the 45 km / 28 mile ride to Dune 45. We climb the dune enjoying a spectacular sunrise. We ride a little further and then make a second, short desert hike to Hidden Vlei. Overnight at Sesriem.

Day 12: A very early start for an epic ride across the Namibian Desert to the camp at Betta. The roads are mainly hardpacked gravel, but there are some tough sandy sections too. Approx 140 km / 87 miles of biking.

Day 13: More tough desert riding today to the wild campsite (with showers) at Kanaan. Today we'll stop for lunch under a shady accacia tree before completing our 85 km / 53 mile ride.

Day 14: After breakfast we hit the road and transfer towards the Fish River Canyon - our objective for the day. Reaching Hobas Campsite, we will make the short out and back ride to the canyon's edge to enjoy the sunset views.

Day 15: Another early start, as we bike down the length of the canyon towards the camp at Ai Ais. The afternoon is free to try out the natural thermal pools which are perfect for soaking weary legs after 2 weeks of hard riding.

Day 16: A leisurely start and a short transfer to our camp on the banks of the Orange River. The landscape changes as we move south. There's the option (at extra cost) of canoeing on the river this afternoon.

Day 17: An overland day today, as we transfer into South Africa and reach our camp in the Cederberg Wilderness Area. Our wild camp is by a river.
