- An African odyssey through Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa
- See the magnificent Victoria Falls
- Game drives in Moremi
- Cycling the wild Namib Desert
- Ride part of `The Long Way Down` route
This wide-ranging and exciting biking holiday begins at the world-famous Victoria Falls and finishes in Cape Town. After time to visit Africa's most impressive waterfall, we employ a sensible mix of vehicle transfers and cycling stages, as we bike from Zambia across Botswana by way of the Okavango Delta and the Kalahari Desert. An early highlight and an unforgettable experience, is riding alongside Botswana's shining white Magadigadi Saltpans. We also have some time away from our bikes, to enjoy game drives in the Moremi Game Reserve. Additionally, shortly before entering Namibia, we spend a morning with the San (Bushman) people and learn a little of their self-sufficient lifestyle, before continuing our journey to the capital Windhoek. There follows a few days of wild cycling, as we cross the vast Namib Desert and visit the dunes at Sossusvlei. Still heading south and following sections of the 'Long Way Down' route, our epic biking journey takes us to the awe-inspiring Fish River Canyon. Crossing into South Africa, we stop off to ride a loop into the spectacular Cederberg Mountains, as we make our approach to journey's end in Cape Town. This is a sustained biking expedition and the experience of a lifetime.
