Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at the group's chalet in Argentiere, above Chamonix. KE group package services begin with the evening meal. Trip briefing and equipment check.
Day 2: From the Col des Montets we walk to Lac Blanc, one of the most stunning locations in the area. From Flegere we take the cable car to Chamonix and return to Argentiere.
Day 3: The first day of the Tour des Fiz, we trek through the beautiful Nature Reserve below the cliffs of Rochers des Fiz. Climb to the Col de la Portette (2354m). Overnight at the Refuge de Sales.
Day 4: Continuing on we descend through the Gorges de Sales, before traversing the mountain to the Alfred Wills Refuge. We then continue to the Col d'Anterne (2257m) and descent to Paine Joux and back to Chamonix and Argentiere.
Day 5: We explore the mountains above Vallorcine by a wonderful traverse to Lac d'Emosson. We descend the Barberine Gorge and stroll through alpine meadows back to the village. Train to Argentiere. Chalet.
Day 6: A leisurely morning with a half day walk up to the Peirre Berard Hut in lieu of our summit attempt of Mont Buet the following day. We trek through some wild scenery in the Aiguille Rouge to reach the hut where we overnight.
Day 7: Mont Buet Summit. An early start through an impressive boulder field to the Col de Salenton. Once at the summit of Mont Buet (3100m) we have some of the finest views of the Mont Blanc range. Descend to the village of Le Buet and back to Argentiere for a celebration meal.
Day 8: KE group package services end with breakfast at the chalet.
