Annapurna and Everest Luxury Lodge Trek

New Trip or Dates
Trekking in Hepal, Everest and Annapurna Everest, Annapurna, Lodge Trek, Hiking in Nepal

  • Experience the premier attractions of Nepal in comfort
  • The best Annapurna and Everest area lodges
  • Exciting flight out of Syangboche
  • Kathmandu sightseeing, including Bhaktapur

The Annapurna and Everest regions have been a ‘must see' destination for the intrepid trekker for over forty years. Up until now, trekking in these spectacular mountain environments involved either camping or staying at basic tea houses. Now it is possible to trek in these famous valleys while staying at comfortable lodges with all the modern conveniences of a city hotel. Our luxury lodges all offer spacious rooms which are pleasantly decorated and with running hot and cold water in an attached bathroom. Best of all, each lodge has been carefully sited to present a magnificent panorama of the Himalaya or surrounding valley from the lodge itself.

For those who would like to see both the Annapurna and Everest areas and would like to do this in comfort, we can wholeheartedly recommend this trip. Four days of easy walking in the foothills north of Pokhara provide a sublimely picturesque introduction, before we take a private flight directly to Lukla and begin a second short trek up to Namche Bazaar. We have time to explore this thriving Sherpa 'capital', to visit the nearby villages of Khunde and Khumjung and to enjoy world-famous views of Everest and Ama Dablam. Flying back to Kathmandu from the airstrip at Syangboche (just above Namche) means we don't even have to hike back down to Lukla. Using first class hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and absolutely the best standard of lodge available in each of the areas we visit, this really is a 'pampered' trekking holiday.

Trip Guide

Generally, the trekking conditions on this trip are relatively easy, following good paths and local village trails throughout. The maximum altitude reached on the trip is under 4000m / 13,000ft, By Himalayan standards this is a fairly modest elevation and the altitude issues attendant on a treks to higher elevations should not be of concern to us on this trip. It should be noted however, that trekking at altitudes above 3000m. / 10,000ft. makes greater demands on the body than walking at low elevations, and is of itself challenging even for fit hikers. Our itinerary is well staged and provides for a very gradual approach to the higher elevations encountered in the Khumbu section of the trip. No camping is involved on this trip and we stay each night in well-appointed lodges with en-suite facilities. The trekking element of this trip is not long or sustained. However you need to ensure you are physically prepared for the trek. You should be comfortable with walking for 3 to 4 hours each day and with ascents up to five or six hundred metres on some days. This itinerary should be well within the capabilities of all active hikers and hill-walkers.
