Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Rendezvous at group hotel. Airport transfer provided for KE preferred flight. Remainder of the day is free to rest and relax.
Day 2: We catch a local bus to the Argentina/Chile border at Cerro Castillo. Here we take private transport for the drive to the Torres del Paine National Park. Overnight at Torres Ecocamp.
Day 3: Today we make the return trek to the head of the Ascencio Valley, to take in the classic view of the Paine towers which are also reflected in the lake below. Overnight at Torres Ecocamp.
Day 4: Setting out from the Ecocamp, we have a long day of trekking to Lago Dickson. The trek follows the eastern bank of the Rio Paine. Overnight camping at Lago Dickson.
Day 5: This is the wildest and least accessible section of the trek, following the Los Perros River. We see forest of southern beech and many water courses en route to the camp at lovely Laguna Los Perros.
Day 6: A tougher day today as we cross the John Garner Pass at 1300 metres. We descend to the shores of Lago Grey where we can view the impressive glacier and icebergs. Overnight at Camp Grey.
Day 7: With the Cerro Paine Grande in view we trek to a refuge on the shores of Lago Pehoe. We camp here but can enjoy the refuge's facilities which include a bar and showers.
Day 8: We hike into the Frances Valley, looking for the best views of the Cuernos del Paine. Then, descend to Camp Italiano and hike east to Camp Cuernos beside Lake Nordenskjold.
Day 9: To complete the circuit on foot, we hike eastwards for around 5 hours on a good, scenic trail on the north side of lake Nordenskjold. Overnight at the Las Torres Ecocamp.
Day 10: Leaving the Torres del Paine region we re-cross into Argentina today, at Cerro Castillo and then drive to Calafate, where we check in to the group hotel.
Day 11: KE goup package services end after breakfast.
