  • Ride the Rage in the Sage bike race route
  • Mountain Bike across the Continental Divide
  • Have fun biking at the world`s oldest Fat Tyre week
  • The perfect mix for a USA mountain bike holiday

This excellent new Colorado Rockies mountain biking adventure holiday begins with 3 days of riding from a comfortable lodge base in the Tarryall Mountains. Mountain biking through alpine meadow and forest, on dirt roads and singletrack, will kick-start our acclimatisation to the local trail conditions and the 2500 metre plus elevation. We then transfer to the nearby mountain towns of Crested Butte and Gunnison and join in the festivities of the annual Crested Butte Fat Tire Week. As well as riding some of the best trails in this area, we will have the chance to take part in the 'Chainless Race' (which is exactly what it sounds like) and to attend bike demos, live music and post race parties. Then, from Buena Vista, we will enjoy 4 days in the pristine Rocky Mountains backcountry, biking across the range on wild trails such as Sheep Creek and Gold Dust. Heading ever upwards, we ride over the Continental Divide at Georgia Pass (3550m / 11,648ft) with the delicious prospect of a long singletrack descent on the Colorado Trail. This is a superb, custom-made mountain bike adventure holiday, with a mix of high trails that are both exhilarating and demanding. Experienced bikers who like challenging technical sections, fast rollers and extended climbs and descents will get a blast out of this one.

We run this holiday in conjunction with our friends at Hauser, the German adventure specialists. This enables us to gather together sufficient numbers of like-minded adventurers to get the trip up and running quickly. The cosmopolitan nature of the groups will be an important part of the experience!  The holiday will be led by an English-speaking guide.
