If you are looking for a short break easy walking holiday to Nepal and an introduction to Nepal Himalaya trekking then this is the perfect trip for you. Staying in Luxury Lodges whilst on our four day trek in the Annapurna region makes this holiday great for those who are not so keen on camping. We start in Kathmandu and take the short flight to Pokhara where we start trekking. We pass villages and contour around cultivated terraces seeing how the people in these foothills manage their humble dwellings. We walk through rhododendron forests with tree orchids and magnificent magnolias. From our comfortable mountain lodges we have spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. We return to Pokhara for one night before flying back to Kathmandu for a full day's sightseeing tour including Bhaktapur and Boudhanath. Using first class hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and absolutely the best standard of lodge available in each of the areas we visit, this really is a 'pampered' one week trekking holiday.
Is this holiday for you?
This trekking holiday in the foothills of the Annapurnas is neither difficult nor sustained. We use well-established and maintained trails throughout. Each days' trek will be around 3 - 4 hours of walking although this may be spread out over a longer day including stops and visits. The maximum altitude reached on the trip is around 2000 metres which is relatively low for a Nepal trekking holiday. We have graded this trip as EASY.
