Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Kathmandu. Complimentary airport transfers are provided. KE Land Only package services begin with the evening meal.
Day 2: After breakfast we have a guided tour of Kathmandu, were we will visit several of the major sights and attractions of the city. We spend a second night at our Kathmandu hotel.
Day 3: We take a morning flight to Pokhara, where we transfer directly to the roadhead at Kande and trek to our first overnight lodge at Australian Camp (1950m).
Day 4: Trekking through Pothana we cross a low pass above the Modi Khola River to reach Landruk (1620m) where we check in at our lodge accommodation.
Day 5: From the 'new' bridge below Landruk, we have a steady climb to Jhinu Danda and the hot springs, then it's up the ridge to the colourful village and several lodges of Chhomrong (2210m).
Day 6: Turning now towards the west, we hike across the valley of the Kymnu Khola and climb up through the village of Chuile to our overnight stop at Tadapani (2650m).
Day 7: Today, we trek to Banthanti and climb through rhododendron forest and along the ridge to the cluster of lodges at Ghorepani (2900m), overlooking the Kali Gandaki Valley.
Day 8: There is the option to make a pre-dawn ascent of Poon Hill (3195m) to witness the sunrise on Dhaulagiri and the Annapurnas. We then drop down into the Kali Gandaki Valley, continuing our trek to the village of Sikha (1700m) with wonderful views of Dhaulagiri.
Day 9: We continue our descent through pretty farmland into the Kali Gandaki Valley, finally crossing a bridge to arrive at Tatopani (1100m). A chance to try the hot springs from which this village takes its name.
Day 10: After breakfast at the lodge, we drive the jeep road to Beni and meet our onward transport to Pokhara. We check in at our Pokhara hotel and have the afternoon free to enjoy the special ambience of 'Lakeside' in Pokhara.
Day 11: A full day free in Pokhara to enjoy this relaxed town and its beautiful lake. We spend a second night at our Pokhara hotel.
Day 12: An early start for the morning flight back to Kathmandu. We check into our hotel and after lunch the afternoon is free for sightseeing and shopping. Hotel.
Day 13: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast. Complimentary airport transfers are provided.
This holiday involves going to moderately high altitude. During the course of your trip you will reach altitudes in excess of 2500 metres. Most people will have no difficulty with this level of altitude but before coming on the holiday, we recommend you read the advice on trekking at altitude.
