Annapurna Sanctuary Lodge Trek
By: Helen Keen, Airlie Beach, Australia
One of the best holidays I have ever had. All was much more than expected and the trip overall would be rated one of the best I have had. All of the group bonded well and I have made some life long friends.
Due to the excellent local guide "Dorje" and his fabulous porters it was a truly memorable experience. Would highly recommend the trip to others without hesitation.

Absolutely brilliant - cannot fault anything. Every time I had a question it was answered promptly. The tea lodges were very good - admittedly basic at MBC and ABC but this was to be expected within the sanctuary. The quality of food was excellent at all times - our leader was very committed to checking food hygiene and ensuring the kitchens were up to scratch. The support crew were so helpful; I am very grateful for their help on what sometimes was quite a hard descent.
From the moment we stepped off the plane in Kathmandu to the final drop off for our trip home, our leader, Pasang ensured we were well looked after. Everything was so well planned. My husband was not very well one night and Pasang was very kind and thoughtful, ensuring that he was well cared for. We could not have asked for a better person to lead our trip.
This was a trip that both my husband and I had dreamed about for many years; we were not disappointed. Although at times the trek was hard due to altitude it was so worth it. Reaching ABC was fantastic and we cannot wait to start planning our next trip of a lifetime. Thank you
The only suggestion I would have is more time in Pokhara. We did not arrive at our hotel until about 4pm and then had to meet for the presentation at 5.30 with a meal afterwards. We would have like a little more time to explore Pokahara - possibly an afternoon.

Staff in the office very helpful when questioned. Very well organised trip with excellent crew and food hygiene. A fantastic guide, confident people person who lead a mixed group of people and got the best out of them as well as explaining local wildlife, culture and putting himself out to ensure everyone got the best out of the holiday.
The Leaders on the trip and the whole experience of walking with an experienced crew knowing that food would be good, bags would be there and rooms booked.
I chose KE based on recommendations from our walking group, people had used this Company before with positive experiences. I have travelled on similar trips with other operators, and can honestly say I think KE was as good if not better with food quality and group Leadership excellent.

This was an AMAZING trek! Everything was better than expected and a trip of a liftetime.
I would recommend to others. Pemba Sherpa was the best guide I have ever had! He was pleasant, always looking out for us, and just a great person!
I most enjoyed the hiking, mountains and our Sherpa guides.

I most enjoyed the outstanding views of mountains.
I choose KE as the price was fully inclusive of all meals and represented very good value for money. All travel arrangements were excellent.

The local agents went far beyond their duty to make sure that we were all looked after. We both had a fantastic time and we will definately be using KE again for trekking trips in the future.

Santosh was fantastic and really made the trip special. He is a confident and accomplished leader and led his team and us brilliantly.
I most enjoyed the sense of achievement at reaching Annapurna Base Camp and the wonderful views.
I chose KE because it is good value for money and I saw your shop in the Lakes and loved your colourful website and brochure.

This was the first time I have used KE. I was impressed by the personal service, which was also very efficient. It took me a while to find my way round the website as there is a lot on it. This was a lodge trek in the Annapurnas - I was not expecting luxury but it was better than I thought it would be. Surprising what these small places can rustle up in their kitchens. The 2 hotels used in Kathmandu and Pokhara were very comfortable with beautiful gardens.
The team that supported us on the trek were excellent. Everything went really smoothly and at no time were we left wondering what was happening next. The support crew appeared to have everything they needed. Man, those boys can eat!.
The treks to MBC and ABC were amazing and we have some fantastic photos. This was truly a challenge for me and I feel very pleased with myself. I also enjoyed Kathmandu and Pokhara and as always, there's not enough time to explore everything. The hotels in these 2 places were a refreshing and welcome respite from the hot dusty roads outside

I was met at the airport and totally looked after until i was ready to return to the airport home. The crew seemed well equipped and the local agent was able to answer all questions posed.
The lodges were a pleasant change from camping. A menu for BLD was also a very nice suprise. Excellent choices and very well prepared. Support crew were just fantastic and they all worked so hard. Always a smile, no matter what the condition.
The trip leader took a personal intrest in everyone and was very approachable. Even though we only spent a couple of weeks together, both the leader and the rest of the crew became firm friends.
This was my second trip to Nepal and I was concerned I would not be able to repeat my previous experience. I can honestley say this trip met and surpassed all my expectations. What a great trip. More time in Pokhara would have been nice. I booked an additional 2 nights in Kathmandu, well worth it. Thank you KE and the crew.
