Hotel was much better standard than I expected, very luxurious with friendly helpful staff. The only improvement to the itinerary would have been to walk to Sascayhuaman rather than get the bus so that we could do some gentle exercise before the trek to aid acclimatisation. Others in the group also felt that this would have been beneficial. Food on trek was delicious, high quality and plentiful - we had to ask the cook to make us less food. All of the support crew were friendly and helpful. Our guide was helpful and knowledgeable. He had excellent English so there were never any problems with communication. When one of our group struggled with the terrain he was exceedingly patient and supportive, with other crew members also helping the client to overcome any difficulties. He was very familiar with area, and able to offer slight variations from the itinerary so that we had a better experience. I really enjoyed my trip, only wish I could have stayed longer to experience other parts of Peru. I felt that the trip provided a good balance of free time to explore on non-trekking days with guided visits to sites. Most enjoyed climbing to the high point of the trek with spectacular views. I loved the food, and our crew cooked a traditional lamb meal roasted with hot rocks on the final day which was delicious, and a special experience for the whole group.

The trip was as people in the UK say 'brilliant'. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

A truly wonderful team - led by Simon Leishman who is professional and friendly. His knowledge of the area, history and trek itself was invaluable. Without such an experienced leader the trek would not have been as amazing as it was. The supporting staff were local and therefore knew their environment well and were extremely welcoming helpful too.

Being collected by a friendly face at each airport was excellent and took away any stress involved in arriving in a strange place. Ausengate - Simon (our leader) was very knowledgable about Cuzco and the local area. He made an effort to spend time with everyone each day on the trek. Galapagos - the guide (Morris) was very good. He never rushed us on from one place to the next and was very attentive to the welfare of the clients. I booked with KE because a number of our friends had booked with KE in the past and had all given good feedback.

Brilliant, big tents which allowed plenty room for kit bags to stay in tents. The food was great, I was especially impressed with the variety in the vegetarian food. If anything, there was too much food. For lunch we were given soup and a cooked meal alongside a snack pack with 4 chocolate / cereal bars. A lighter lunch and less snacks would have gone down equally well.
