Ausangate Trek

Brilliant, big tents which allowed plenty room for kit bags to stay in tents. The food was great, I was especially impressed with the variety in the vegetarian food. If anything, there was too much food. For lunch we were given soup and a cooked meal alongside a snack pack with 4 chocolate / cereal bars. A lighter lunch and less snacks would have gone down equally well.

Being collected by a friendly face at each airport was excellent and took away any stress involved in arriving in a strange place. Ausengate - Simon (our leader) was very knowledgable about Cuzco and the local area. He made an effort to spend time with everyone each day on the trek. Galapagos - the guide (Morris) was very good. He never rushed us on from one place to the next and was very attentive to the welfare of the clients. I booked with KE because a number of our friends had booked with KE in the past and had all given good feedback.

A truly wonderful team - led by Simon Leishman who is professional and friendly. His knowledge of the area, history and trek itself was invaluable. Without such an experienced leader the trek would not have been as amazing as it was. The supporting staff were local and therefore knew their environment well and were extremely welcoming helpful too.

The trip was as people in the UK say 'brilliant'. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation.
