The cultural metropolis of Bangkok has come a long way since the 15th Century when it was a small trading post perched on the banks of Chao Phraya River. Since then it has become one of the most compelling Asian cities. With a blend of eclectic markets, golden temples and famed for its glitzy nightlife, Bangkok is the heart that pumps the land of the thousand smiles. Integral to any visit is Bangkok`s Grand Palace Complex. Constructed in 1782, whilst it is no longer the official royal residence it remains very much the spiritual centre of Thailand and continues to host numerous ceremonies throughout the year. Much of Bangkok life revolves around the river and our full-day tour encompasses a long tail boat journey. Exploring the network of canals provides a colourful insight into Thai life, where you may get a glimpse of floating traders, riverside temples and fields of water hyacinths. Whether you choose a half-day or a full day, Thai people are famed for their friendliness, warmth and playfulness and our choice of Bangkok tours are the perfect introduction or farewell to Thai life!
