Day 1: Arriving in Dubrovnik Airport KE Land Only package begin with a group transfer to our hotel in the Konavle Valley area. After checking in we'll meet our guide who will give us a briefing on the week ahead over dinner. Tonight we overnight in a beautiful region of vineyards located between the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea and the dramatic Snijenica mountains.
Day 2: After a short transfer through the valley to the village of Kuna, we start the week with a fantastic walk. Today we hike to the splendid viewpoint of Mount Snijeznica (1234m), the highest peak in the region, offering views as far afield as Bosnia and Montenegro. After enjoying the views from the summit we return to our hotel. Walk distance approx: 4-5 hours, 10km, 540m ascent/descent.
Day 3: Today we drive the spectacular coast to the port of Dubrovnik and catch a ferry to the island of Lopud, the most beautiful of the Elaphiti Islands. After coastal walking to a hilltop fort offering stunning harbour views, we return to Dubrovnik before driving the coast to our hotel in Ston, a walled town famous for its wine and seafood! Walk distance approx 3-4 hours 8.5km, 300m ascent/descent.
Day 4: Ston boasts the 2nd longest city wall in the world and today's walk follows the wall for 1km before continuing along the bay to the small village of Broce. We end with a traverse of the hills above the town, returning through fields and farms. Late afternoon we take a ferry to the lush island of Mljet and check into our hotel in Polace. Walk distance approx: 3-4 hours, 11km, 470m ascent/descent.
Day 5: A memorable day of hiking in the Mljet Island National Park, including an ascent of Montokuc Peak, the highest point on the island and a circular walk around the magical salt lakes. Late afternoon we catch the ferry to Ston and drive along the striking Peljesac Peninsula to our hotel near the pretty town of Orebic. Walk distance approx: 3-4 hours, 11km, 280m of ascent/descent.
Day 6: Today we explore surrounding vineyards before ascending to a Franciscan monastery offering sweeping sea views. We then transfer by ferry from Orebic to Korcula, with time to wander the narrow streets and soak up the atmosphere of the reputed birthplace of Marco Polo. Afterwards we return by ferry to our hotel near Orebic. Wallk distance approx: 4-5 hours, 12km, 240m ascent & 300m descent.
Day 7: After returning along the Peljesac peninsula to Dubrovnik and checking into our hotel, we have the rest of the day free to enjoy this beautiful, atmospheric city. You can walk the city walls, visit the Rector's Palace or wander around the Cathedral of the Assumption. We'll rendezvous in the evening for a final group meal and maybe try the local `Slivovitz` to round off a fantastic week.
Day 8: KE Land Only package ends after breakfast. A complimentary group airport transfer is provided.
