At the present time, nationals of the USA, Canada and countries that are members of the European Union require a Tourist Visa Card to visit Cuba. Nationals of other countries should check the situation with the Cuban Consulate. All nationalities require a passport valid for at least 6 months after the departure date from Cuba. Please note that all visitors to Cuba may be asked for proof of health insurance on arrival. You must carry your travel insurance details with you.
If you are a UK citizen and are travelling on one of our scheduled departures we will arrange issuing the Cuba Tourist Visa Card for you.
US and Canadian Passport Holders
Currently there is no consulate for Cuba in the United States and it is not possible to fly direct to Cuba from the United States. However, Tourist cards can be obtained from a travel agency when booking a trip or airline tickets to Cuba, or when airline tickets are purchased at the airports of Toronto, Montreal or Cancun before going to Cuba. Some airlines also sell the tourist cards (Cubana Airlines, Lacsa, Copa, etc.). If you book a flight to Cuba with Air Canada, the card is included on the price of the plane ticket and it would be hand it to you once you are on the plane.
Canadians can apply for a tourist card at the Cuban Embassy in Ottawa personally or by mail. Bring your passport, the tourist card form and cash or a money order for $24.00 CAD. It is issued in one day. Canadians can also obtain the card by regular mail. You should send the form, a money order for $56.00 CAD ($24.00 for the tourist card and $32.00 for non-in-person procedure fee), a photocopy of the main page of your passport, and a prepaid envelope to:
