Şerafettin DİREK is a legend. He's a very knowledgeable and patient guy with a good positive attitude and a lively sense of humour. I have recommend him to family when they visit turkey. I'd be very happy to be guided by him in the future.
Most enjoyed - The climate, scenery and food! The tour of the cultural highlights at the end of the trip was brilliant. That was down to our guide,Şerafettin DİREK.

Our leader, Ismet, was excellent. As well as being a very competent guide she also had a lively personality and was good company.
Better information could be provided about meeting arrangements. We stayed overnight in Istanbul before flying to Kayseri but on reflection we would have been better to have stayed in Kayseri before joining the group.
We are regular trekkers and have used a number of different companies. This was our second holiday with KE and both have surpassed our expectations.

We have done a lot of trekking around the world and Ismet was by far and away the best tour leader we have had. She worked so hard! Excellent English, great knowledge of both the environment and culture. Very organised, knew the pace we had to go etc but sensitive as well. Thoughtful about everyone. Loved her!
The superb organisation of the local supplier.
I loved the stunning environment we were in,the peace and quiet, our WONDERFUL tour leader/guide, the best day imaginable to summit Mt Emler and the other people in a group like this that you meet.

Hotels were very good especially the Akyol Hotel in Mustafapasha. I found the first campsite in the garden of the village house a little odd. With small groups it may have been easier and more pleasant to actually sleep on the floor of the village house rather than in the tents outside, especially having come straight from the plane to the camp. The other campsites were in lovely locations. Support crew were brilliant especially the two cooks & food on camp was absolutely superb. We also had lunch at the village house owned by one of the support crew which was a lovely experience. Very enjoyable trip with a good contrast between the trekking in the Taurus and the cultural side in Cappadocia. Most enjoyed beautiful evenings spent in campsites in the mountains... seeing birds & wildlife including eagles, buzzards, ibex and wolves... spectacular trekking particularly the Celikbuyduran Pass day & the Dipsiz lake day... Cappadocia underground city visit.

This trip met my expectations of any holiday booked with KE- well organised, good hotels and great guests.
I had another wonderful holiday with KE - this was my fourth trip with KE in two years, this time I brought along two mates, and it fully met my expectations. I was well looked after, well fed and in the company of great people. What more could I ask for?
The trekking was excellent, as was the company.

My first trip with KE and will certainly be back for more! Very helpful staff in the UK.
Absolutely wonderful local staff, good food and plenty of it. Guide (Turan) - wonderful. Chief cook - brilliant. Horseman - lovely but sadly did not speak english
The holiday was excellent - scenery, food, fellow travellers, the guide and his team all excellent!

All great. The beers at the end of each day were greatly appreciated !! Turan was a great leader with a real dedication to his job and a great sense of humour. Our co-leader Elif was great too. KE was recommended by a fellow traveller on a previous holiday. We love walking holidays and I've wanted to visit Capppadocia for ages so this was the perfect trip.

Our trip leader went above and beyond their duties. The group was small and we went to many areas where there were no other other tourists....it was like a private tour and so could really experience the majesty of the region.

Very efficient staff - driver of plush mini bus, 2 cooks and particularly Ramuzan who supervised the camps and invited us to have lunch with his family. Oz was strong on both the trekking side and the cultural side. He was also quite a character and very keen to answer any questions on Turkey. Most Enjoyed: 1. Ascending Emler peak because of the views and testing of my fitness and nerve. 2. Ilhara Valley Walk - beautiful end to end with a delicious lunch thrown in the middle. 3. Cappadoccia for its scenery, painted churches and our room in the boutique hotel at Mustapha Pasha 4. Lunch with Ramuzan in his home after walking down the gorge.

It was an extremely enjoyable holiday all round, I loved it. Up to KE's usual high standards. The local crew were great, really nice people. They were very friendly, great cooks (especially Adam), worked hard and were very efficient. A thoroughly pleasant group of people.
Izmet did a great job. She had a difficult task trying to meet the needs of a very diverse group with different fitness levels and this brought some conflict, but she worked hard to meet everyone's needs and give us all a good time. She was never 'off duty', always putting everyone else's needs before her own, down to the finest details. I don't know how she managed it, some members of the group were very demanding but she handled it all well.
It provided exactly what it promised. It has been a long standing ambition of mine to visit Cappadocia and it fulfilled all of my expectations. It was a great cultural as well as physical experience, with a really good balance of experiences and activities. Renewed my love of Turkey and the Turks.
I have travelled with KE before and consider that you always give good service and value for money. You are more expensive than a lot of others but the extra money is definitely worth it.

A very enjoyable, busy holiday. I most enjoyed the beautiful stark, wild mountains and then contrasting gorges and tufa landscape full of wild flowers, troglodyte caves and interesting churches. Very good walking and I felt we'd done a good walk each day. Ismet was one of the best leaders we've had, good company, warm, funny, friendly, helpful, efficient and very knowledgeable both of the mountains and of cultural aspects such as history and agriculture. Very good route finder and we very much appreciated her skills as a mountain leader.
The hotels were very good and the tents and mess tents were roomy and good quality. The cooks were excellent - food was plentiful and tasty. The guy who took the ponies up over the high pass twice in two days was outstanding - also the logistics of getting all the gear back over the pass and round to the final campsite in poor weather - a very slick operation. The crew all worked very hard and I was very impressed by the ponies condition - they were very well cared for.
My only comment is that if we had known that we could have stayed in Keyseri city overnight and just turned up at the airport that afternoon to be picked up with the rest of the group it would have been easier than what we did which was to overnight in Istanbul - expensive and wasted a lot of time in airports.
I think you may need to include down jackets in your kit list rather than as optional - especially for the late season holiday as several people were inadequately kitted out with regard to warm jumpers, hats and gloves.

First met Sheriff on the Ararat trip, he is an excellent leader, has masses of knowledge about his country. A very interesting person.
The cook was fantastic, yummy food every day. First class
