Corsica - Mountains to the Sea
The following checklist should help you with your packing. As a general rule, you should always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. In general you should pack for warm or hot and sunny weather, but for the mountain hikes you must come prepared with the normal mountain safety clothing (waterproofs, hat and gloves) which you may or may not use.
You must bring the following items:
Hiking boots
Trainers / sneakers or sandals
Socks
Underwear
Trekking trousers / pants
Lightweight waterproof overtrousers / rain-pants
Wicking baselayer shirts
T-shirts and/or casual shirts (at least one with long sleeves and collar for sun protection)
Fleece jumper or jacket
Waterproof jacket
Sunhat
Warm hat
Eyewear - sunglasses
Gloves or mittens
Daypack (approx 25-30ltr)
Washbag and toiletries
Antibacterial handwash
Sun protection (including for lips)
Water bottles x 2 (1 Litre / Quart))
Small padlock (to lock trek bag)
Tupperware lunch box or sandwich bags for packed lunches.
Basic First Aid Kit. Including: antiseptic cream, throat lozenges, diarrhoea treatment (Imodium), painkillers, plasters and blister treatment, Insect repellent, and re-hydration salts (Dioralite).
The following items are optional:
Trekking poles
Gaiters
Spare laces
Shorts
Swimwear
Beach towel
Torch (flashlight)
Travel clothes
Repair kit (eg. needle, thread, duct tape)
Camera, media, batteries
