Bike - Road Cycling

Slick from start to finish enjoyed all the cols, especially the two mountain days. May was a great time to visit Corsica, not too busy and the weather perfect for road biking. Thios trip will be hard to beat in terms of variety and stunning scenery. Where next?

Covering 750km in 6 days was just about right, tough but plenty of stops. The cols were not that steep and the coastal riding very beautiful despite the sea breeze! I enjoyed each place we stayed in but the last night in Piedicroce amongst the chestnut forests of Castagnaccia was a delight. Glenn was a great guide and George the perfect support with snacks and lunch waiting for me just when I needed a break!

I have cycled several trips with KE, including the traverse of Bhutan and this trip exceeded all my expectations. The accommodation and food was top notch, good clean hotels in great locations the sunset from the hotel in Piana particularly memorable. Corsica is a beautiful island and this trip covers it all thank you for a great trip.

I cycled this route in 2013, just before the Tour de France landed in Corsica. I usually bike in the Alps and was blown away by the diversity of the riding. The wind caught me out going around the top of cap Corse but the ride down the coast to Porto was some of the best coastal riding I have done. Little detours inland through quiet Corsican villages was a treat and made me appreciate the chilled Corsican way of life.

On the third day, we headed inland and over the cols, specially prepared for the tour, and guess what, all the speed bumps had been removed through the villages and there was plenty of new tarmac. Heading back up the east coast was the first straight road of the trip but we were soon going back in time through the chestnut forests of Castagniccia before arriving back in Bastia.

Enjoyed the food, the beer and wine and the sheer diversity in just a week. Count me in for the first trip in 2014!

The scenery and the courses were varied, and changed every day. Rolling coastal roads etched into the side of the mountains with views that took you from the granite cliffs down to the azure blue sea, climbs up through multiple mountain passes that took your breath away in more ways then and then fantastic descents.br>
It had everything I wanted in a bike tour and was well worth the trip.
