Canadian Summits Scrambler

Day 1: Arrive Calgary. Rendezvous at the group hotel. Evening free. KE Land Only package services begin with the overnight stay at the group hotel.
Day 2: We meet our guide and have a trip briefing over breakfast at the hotel. We then have a short city tour before transferring to the trailhead in Canmore for our hike to Ha Ling Peak. After the hike we drive to Lake Louise, where we stay overnight at a hostel. Approx 4 - 5 hours walking, 730m ascent and descent, drive time 2.5hrs.
Day 3: Today we have the option to climb either Mont Saint-Piran (2649m) or Fairview Mountain (2744m). Our guide will decide the best option for the group. We'll have great views of Lake Louise from either objective. Overnight in Lake Louise hostel. Approx 6-7hrs walking, 12km, 900+m ascent and descent.
Day 4: Our second hike out of Lake Louise is to the Cirque Peak (2993m). We have a 1 hour transfer to the trailhead at Bow Lake and we make the ascent via Helen Lake. Afterwards, return to our hostel in Lake Louise. Approx 6-7hrs walking, 18km, 1000m+ ascent and descent, drive time 2hrs.
Day 5: We drive to Revelstoke from where we will climb Mt Abbot. Depending on the weather and the group we may have the option to scramble right to the summit (2465m). Tonight we will stay in a hostel in downtown Revelstoke. Approx 7-8hrs walking, 14km, 1265m ascent and descent, drive time 2hrs.
Day 6: We drive to the summit parkway and hike via Miller and Eva Lake to a col between Upper and Lower Jade Lake. We return the same trail and drive back to the hostel in Revelstoke. Approx 6-7hrs walking, 18km, 800m ascent and descent, drive time 2hrs.
Day 7: Our next destination is Glacier National Park. Parking at Rogers Pass we hike the Cannaught Valley to Balu Pass (2070m). From here we scramble along rocky ledges and walk through alpine meadows to the final rocky summit ridge of Cheops Mountain (2605m). We overnight in a lodge. Approx 9hrs walking, 22km, 1300m+ ascent and descent, drive time 2hrs.
Day 8: We drive into the heart of Yoho National Park and to the trailhead at the foot of Takakkaw falls. We hike along the Yoho river to Laughing falls and climb to Stanley Mitchel hut. After lunch we follow the Iceline trail to Whiskey Jack. Overnight in a local hostel. Approx 7hrs walking, 20km, 725m ascent and descent, drive time 2.5hrs.
Day 9: Day 9 For our second hike in the Yoho National Park we hike to the summit of Paget Peak (2564m) and in the afternoon drive to Banff where we check in to the International Hostel. Approx 4-6hrs walking, 7km, 600m ascent and descent, drive time 1.5hrs.
Day 10: Today will be a relatively long day as we walk via Bourgeau Lake to Mount Bourgeau (2931m). After the hike we return to the hostel in Banff. Approx 9hrs walking, 23km, 1484m ascent and descent.
Day 11: After breakfast we head to Canmore from where we will make our ascent of 'Middle Sister' (2769m), the middle summit of the famous, triple summited, 'Three Sisters'. Approx 7 - 8 hours walking, 17km, 1400m ascent and descent.
Day 12: Today we make the traverse of the Centennial Ridge to Mont Allan (2820m), and descend into Bow Valley. We have our last evening in Banff staying at the hostel. Approx 8-10 hrs walking, 17km, 1400m ascent and descent.
Day 13: A shorter day to end our holiday, hiking in the Banff National Park to Cory Pass. After the hike we make the drive back to Calgary where we check into the group hotel and enjoy a 'farewell' dinner. Approx 5-6 hours walking, 15km, 915m ascent and descent, drive time 1 - 1.5 hours.
Day 14: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast.
This holiday involves going to moderately high altitude. During the course of your trip you will reach altitudes in excess of 2500 metres. Most people will have no difficulty with this level of altitude but before coming on the holiday, we recommend you read the advice on trekking at altitude.
