Known for it's crystal clear waters Lake Laberge is sparkling and the camps are great. We can swim, fish, walk or just relax and photograph the wonders of this wilderness. Wild camp.
Day 10: Quietly paddling along the lake we keep close to the shore line and beaches. We may see black bears looking for berries and raptors nesting in the trees. If the wind allows we will build a sail and float down the lake, increasing speed and reducing effort! We find another camping spot on a beach. Wild camp.
Day 11: Today we pass by the abandoned villages of Hootalinqua and Little Salmon. At our camp sight the guide will show us the basics of fly fishing, as it's a great spot for catching Arctic Grayling. We can also enjoy a sunset walk this evening. This is a beautiful place. Wild camp.
Day 12: The river branches into multiply subsidiaries at this point, there are many small wooden islands and the current is calmer as we continue. The river Teslin gently flows into the waters of the Yukon. We may even spot a grizzly bear looking for its salmon dinner. Wild camp.
Day 13: The river becomes more wild today as we paddle. The wildlife becomes more prolific as we progress further away from civilisation.
