This exciting American family adventure lets you follow the cowboy trail across the plains to the 'one horse towns' of Billy the Kid. The Wild West of covered wagon trains, outlaws hiding out in rock canyons and tumbleweed blowing through deserted towns is amongst the most vivid of our childhood images. If you’ve ever dreamed of following the cowboy trail, our great new American family holiday is the trip for you. After exploring the sights of San Francisco we enjoy the spectacular scenery of Yosemite National Park before crossing the Sierra Nevada to get to the Valley of Death. Route 66 takes us to the Grand Canyon, where we have a day to hike on the rim and soak up the view. Then, heading north to the amazing Monument Valley, with the Navajo Indians. Our next stop is at the adventure capital of Moab, our base as we explore the incredible red-rock landscapes of Arches National Park and enjoy sunset at Delicate Arch and an expedition rafting on the Colorado River which we camp next to. We have the chance to walk or ride horses through the red rock formations of Bryce Canyon before enjoying a day in Zion National Park where rock climbing, tubing or hiking are on offer. Finishing with a day to experience the fairground razzmatazz of Las Vegas, this is the best of the American west.

The activities on this holiday are suitable for children aged 8 and over, with additional options for those aged 12 plus. Lots of time to explore and see the sights, as we journey across this vast landscape in our comfortable minibus. An ideal trip for the summer break.
