Dolomites High Level Walking Traverse

Day 1: Rendezvous at Venice's Marco Polo Airport. KE Land Only package services begin with a single timed transfer to the start of the trek. We have a short climb to our first night's accommodation at the Dreischusterhutte. Approximate walking time: 30 minutes. Ascent: +100m.
Day 2: A magnificent day climbing vai Canpo di Dentro to the Locatelli hut superbly situated near the spectacular towers of the Tre Cime Laverado. Classic Dolomite trekking. Walking time: 6 hours. Ascent / descent: +900m. / -500m.
Day 3: A beautiful day's trekking through the wild valleys of Rientztal and Ladro to reach our next night's halt at the Pratopiazza hut (1991m.). 7 hours. +800m. /-1200m.
Day 4: From the Pratopiazza hut we hike over the Gaiselleite Pass to reach the attractively located Biella hut (2327m.). Spectacular views of the Fanes group. 7 hours. +850m. / -500m.
Day 5: We hike past Fosses Lake and through the Valley of Piccolo lake. We are now in the Natural Park of Fanes, one of the largest natural parks in the area. Tonight's accommodation is in the Fanes hut (2060m.) which is more of a mountain hotel than a hut. 7 hours. +750m. / -1035m.
Day 6: From the hut we climb up to the Medesc Pass where we can view the huge wall of Sass dla Crusc which gives some of the finest rock climbing in the dolomites. We descend to Villa (also known as Stern) in the Bardia valley and continue up to the Gardenacia hut. 7 hours. +1100m. / -1100m.
Day 7: Our final day of trekking takes us through the Langental Valley to Selva di Val Gardina beneath the imposing peaks of Sassolungo and the Sella Group. 6 hours. +500m. / - 980m.
Day 8: After breakfast, there is a group transfer to Venice, Marco Polo Airport where KE Land Only package services end.
This holiday involves going to moderately high altitude. During the course of your trip you will reach altitudes in excess of 2500 metres. Most people will have no difficulty with this level of altitude but before coming on the holiday, we recommend you read the advice on trekking at altitude.
