Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Antananarivo. A group transfer from the airport is provided. KE Land Only services begin with the evening meal. Overnight at the group hotel.
Day 2: Our holiday starts with a journey east to Perinet National Park to experience the Indri-indri. We break our journey at a Bufferfly and Chameleon Centre in Mandraka. On arrival in Perinet we check into our bungalows with views over the forest.
Day 3: An early morning visit into the park takes us to see the Indri-Indri, the biggest of all lemurs and an experience we will not forget. We have lunch in Perinet and then we drive back to Antananarivo (approx 3 hrs). Overnight hotel Tana.
Day 4: From Tana we transfer to the airport for the short flight to Diego Suarez. We have lunch in a local restaurant and stroll around the town, market and port. Our hotel is situated on the seafront overlooking the Diego Bay.
Day 5: After breakfast a short transfer takes us to the area of the 'three bays'. Here we walk from Dunes Bay to Pigeon Bay. The walk takes us to Orangea and Ramena beach and onto the sea cliffs, with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean. We also visit the lighthouse at Cap Mine. Our transfer to the hotel takes us via a view point for Sugarloaf Mountain. Overnight hotel near Joffreville.
Day 6: Today our local guide will take us into the Amber Mountain National Park. This luxuriant forest was the first park in Madagascar and we can see tree ferns, palms, orchids amidst the waters and crater lakes. Seven different lemurs are found here, including the crowned and Stanford. We can also see chameleons, geckos and birds. Overnight hotel.
Day 7: Today we drive around the Amber massif in a 4WD to the Red Tsingy here we have picnic lunch and in the afternoon we have a walk in Ankarana. Overnight hotel near the Ankarana park entrance.
Day 8: We have a full day exploring the L'Ankarana National Park. This ancient coral reef has been eroded by water and wind resulting in a limestone formation that looks like a sharp stone forest. Many interesting endemic flora and fauna species are found here. We walk to a bat cave and in the afternoon towards the Tsingy Rary on a footbridge over the canyon. Overnight hotel
Day 9: This morning depart for Nosy Be. We transfer to Ankify passing through cashew, coffee, cacao and ylang-ylang plantations. From here we have a short 45 min speed boat ride over the paradise island of Nosy Be. From Hellville we take a taxi to our hotel on the beach. We have the afternoon at leisure. Overnight Explora Hotel or similar.
Day 10: A full day at leisure on Nosy Be. It is possible to book optional activities from the hotel, including fishing, diving, snorkelling and hiring bikes. A pleasant walk is possible to Mont Passot with splendid views of the island, especially at sunset. Overnight Explora Hotel or similar.
Day 11: Another day on Nosy Be relaxing and enjoying this paradise island. Overnight Explora Hotel or similar.
Day 12: Depending on domestic flight schedules we may have a few hours in the morning to swim in the sea before flying back to Tana. Overnight hotel Tana.
Day 13: KE Land Only services end after breakfast. A complimentary group transfer to the airport is provided.
