Everest the Hard Way Trek

I could not fault Rob..knowledgeable, patient, supportive. When I was ill (as we all were at one point or another) he was up giving medication, advice and care...and then helped achieve our goal of getting over the passes safely and professionally. Definitely would go with Rob. Knew the country, people and environment. most enjoyed the scenery, culture and also the physical challenge...getting off the beaten track to do the three passes was great and along the way some excellent attractions..temple at Thame was a particular memory.

This was an incredible trip. We had a great group, which I know is a blessing when you have this many strangers coming together to spend the next several weeks together! We became like family in many ways...looking out for each other, checking in on those you did not feel well, sharing precious kleenex and tiolet paper! The cooks even baked and decorated a cake for a couple who exchanged wedding vows on the trip!

Val was by far the best trip leader I've been with ever! her knowledge and support in both medical and physical matters was absolutely superb and seeing as I started the trip with the remains of a chest infection and cough I'm pretty sure that without her help and medical advice I might not have made it at all. An all round top person.

Charlie, our leader, is a star and made our holiday unforgettable. My wife and I can't thank him enough for making our holiday so memorable. Charlie was a brilliant leader helpful, kind, very knowledgeable about the area and very passionate about trekking in the Himalayas and yes even he was still blown away by the views during the trip he is a top man. My wife works in the travel industry and has met people from KE at various events and was impressed by what you offer. We then visited your office and where impressed by your knowledgeable staff, whom advised us on our choice of trip.

The route of the trip was great and it was a pleasure to leave the main drag and head somewhat off the beaten track. This led to a true feeling of peacefulness and solitude which is of course one of the things to look for when heading into the mountains.

Phil is an outstanding leader, by far the best I have come across on any trek. Both his technical and people-management skills are excellent.

I cannot speak highly enough of Phil for his work throughout the trip. In my opinion in this role it is no good just having the mountain skills - you also need the people skills, and Phil had these in abundance.
