Everest Panorama Trek

Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Kathmandu. Complimentary airport transfers are provided. KE Land Only package services begin with the evening meal.
Day 2: We have an early start for the dramatic flight through the mountains to Lukla. After lunch, we begin our trek with the short walk to our first night's lodge accommodation in the village of Phakding (2610m).
Day 3: Following the Dudh Kosi Valley upstream, we cross and re-cross the river before making a final steep climb to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar (3440m), where we overnight at a lodge.
Day 4: We spend a rest day at Namche for acclimatisation. There is the option of a day hike to the Sherpa Museum of Culture above Namche and the nearby viewpoint for Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We return to spend a second night at our Namche lodge.
Day 5: We leave Namche turning first into the Nangpo Tsangpo Valley before climbing up to the airstrip at Syangboche. Climbing up above the airstrip, we cross a col to reach the Sherpa Villages of Kunde and Kumjung. After exploring these villages we descend to Kangjuma and our overnight lodge.
Day 6: We continue our trek, traversing above the Imja Khola and gradually dropping down to cross this river at Phunki Tenga. We then climb up to reach Thyangboche (3860m) located on a ridge below the impressive north face of Kang Taiga (6685m).
Day 7: We spend a rest day at Thyangboche. Options include a day hike to Pangboche, the highest permanent settlement in the valley. We will also have plenty of time to visit what is arguably Nepal's most famous monastery. We have a second night at our lodge in Thyangboche.
Day 8: Today, we start our walk-out from the Khumbu, retracing our steps to Namche and descending as far as the tiny hamlet of Monjo (2835m) at the entrance of the Sagamatha National Park.
Day 9: We complete our trek, descending first to Phakding and then making a final short climb up to our lodge accommodation in the airstrip settlement of Lukla. No doubt tonight we will have a party to say goodbye to new Sherpa friends.
Day 10: We have an early start for the morning flight back to Kathmandu. Arriving once again in the Nepalese capital, we check in at our hotel and have lunch. The afternoon is free for sightseeing and shopping. Overnight at the group hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 11: After breakfast, we have a guided tour of Kathmandu, visiting several of the major sights and attractions of the city, including Bhaktapur and Bodhnath. Free time in the afternoon and a final night at our Kathmandu hotel.
Day 12: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast. Complimentary airport transfers are provided.
This holiday involves going to high altitude. During the course of your trip you will reach altitudes in excess of 3500 metres. This is not something that you should worry about; the human body is quite capable of adapting to a very wide range of altitudes, but it is important that we follow some simple rules in order to acclimatise successfully.
