Nabil, our leader (a Coptic Christian) was the best desert trek leader I have had. His enthusiasm and knowledge were infectious. His excellent English obviously had a bearing on this. I enjoyed most the sunrise and sunsets, the strange scenery of the White Desert and the evening meals.

The crew were fantastic and looked after us incredibly well. In particular, the food cooked for us was just great - we ate extremely well and all was fresh and healthy and delicious. I don't normally expect such good food on a trek but this was exceptional.Nabil our local leader did a fantastic job. He is passionate about the desert and extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of its character and geology. Nabil has a gift for imparting his knowledge in a very unobtrusive manner in bite sized chunks and was never for a minute other than fascinating. He was great too in showing us to a couple of great restaurants in Cairo - a man about town as well as desert. He is a real credit to the company and had a great sense of humour and terrific empathy with the group. He really made the holiday for us all.Another great holiday from KE - I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The White desert is a remarkable place and the gentle pace across the varied landscape in the company of the camels and our bedouin guides was a really relaxing and enjoyable experience. We enjoyed the scenery and the culture with a great New Year's Eve party dancing around the fire with accompanying traditional music. A perfect start to 2011.

Our local leader had excellent local knowledge and interesting lectures on the landscape, dune formations and wildlife. I most enjoyed the trekking with the camels, the amazing scenery, and the New Years eve dinner and party.
