Day 1: Rendezvous at the group hotel in Las Vegas. KE Land Only package services begin with the overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast in the hotel we meet with our tour leader who will brief us on the week ahead. We set of for Death Valley in California (3hrs). After a picnic lunch at Scotty Castle we walk along the mystical rim of Ubehebe crater. We continue to Mesquite Dunes, visit a ghost town, before checking into our hotel in Beatty where we can escape the desert heat with a dip in the pool.
Day 3: Death Valley is the lowest and driest place in North America. After some time in the hotel swimming pool we drive to Dante's View for the best panoramas of the Valley. Driving through Death Valley, we visit Zabriskie Point, Badwater and Devil's Golf-course before travelling back to Las Vegas. Overnight Las Vegas.
Day 4: We make an early start to catch the cool of the morning as we continue through the desert to reach Zion National Park. Here we will have a short hike in the impressive 800 metre high canyon, or there is an option to do some 'tubing' on the Virgin River. In the late afternoon we check into an Adventure Ranch where we will stay in a cowboy wagon.
Day 5: The Adventure Ranch offers a wide range of optional activities including rock climbing, horse back riding, canyoneering and ATV rides. Today is a free day to enjoy these activities or you can accompany the tour leader on a hike in the National Park. Overnight at the Adventure Ranch.
Day 6: Today we head out to explore Bryce Canyon NP, considered one of the most photogenic parks in the USA. We have most of the day to hike through the weird and wonderful rock formations. Tonight we have an exciting overnight in a real Native American Tepee in Bryce Canyon Village.
Day 7: After packing our camp, a short drive takes us to Lake Powell. Here, the Colorado River was dammed creating an astounding shoreline of 3000 km. After lunch we walk through stunning Antelope Canyon and then make our camp close to the lake shore. We will have time to cool off with a swim before dinner.
Day 8: We have the day at Lake Powell to relax and enjoy this beautiful place of wondrous formations and geological features. There are many optional activities available including kayaking, lake cruises, or a half-day rafting expedition on the Colorado River, or just simply relaxing and swimming.
Day 9: We continue to the famous Monument Valley. We stop at incredible Horseshoe bend en route. In the vast sandstone plateau which is Monument Valley we have the option to take a tour by jeep in the company of Navajos guides. Camp in Monument Valley.
Day 10: Leaving Monument Valley we drive the to the Grand Canyon, the ultimate attraction on a West USA holiday. We drive along the south rim and have plenty of opportunity to admire the views before arriving at our campground near the Grand Canyon Village.
Day 11: We have a free day at the Grand Canyon National Park. You can choose to hike into the canyon or to hire bikes and ride along the rim for amazing views. Overnight at the campground.
Day 12: Its well worth getting up early for a sunrise walk. Alternatively it is possible to book a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon for a memory of a lifetime. In the late morning we drive on Route 66 (4.5 hours) via the magnificent Hoover Dam to reach the bright lights of Las Vegas. Here we check into our comfortable hotel.
Day 13: KE Land Only package services end after breakfast. The hotel provides a complimentary airport shuttle.
